Tim Sherwood, Tony Pulis and Clinton Morrison to join Paul Merson on this week's Soccer Saturday panel.

:nigel:

Hopefully it's just scraping the barrel because there's only one 3pm kickoff this Saturday.

Pulis, away from management, seems like a decent bloke.

Sherwood, in any setting, is a massive tool.

FEELING BLUE

Chelsea outcast Danny Drinkwater reveals he is seeing psychologist and £110k-a-week ‘doesn’t solve anything’

They're immediately replaced by Sherwood and Pulis lol

Alex Scott was getting so much abuse for absolutely no reason.

This is the most typical response to Alex Scott being on TV. She was critical of Joe Gomez and this hilarious unironic comment followed.

Speaking of Soccer Saturday, Jeff Stelling the dinosaur can't take a joke. Absolute state of this bloke. He's had his day, he sounds like a grumpy old man as the days go by. Can't wait til they move him on as well.

If Everton get Lozano I reckon thats me done

I've been waiting for them to be linked, it's inevitable. Played under Ancelotti at Napoli, the man can't even be arsed to scout properly. Lozano, Richarlison, Rodriguez front 3 seems very pleasant on paper.

James didn't seem to revel in the chilly Bavarian climate and he's in for a shock when he sees how little the sun shines on Merseyside !!!

Heck. It's almost, almost as if the vitriolic weirdos hyped this up all on their own, despite absolutely no evidence or official announcement that ditching them was to do with a more diverse cast.

Two empty chairs would be preferable to Sherwood and Pulis. Still, seems to appeal to the ravenous, insular audience who seem to watch the show.

What is it about TV talent that makes them turn into utter wombats after a certain age or period on TV? I've said it before, Stelling is a chummy old-boys-club member, only a few steps from Richard Keys levels of arrogance. His early years were fantastic, he was unmissable, he made Soccer Saturday what it was. Then he believed in his own hype, started inserting his own opinions and now he's got a very fragile ego, seemingly.

It’s such a shame really. He does a lot of good for Prostate Cancer UK, my work colleague who has it terminally can’t speak highly enough of Stelling.

I find it odd that Bielsa won’t sign a contract for any longer than a year at Leeds. As a Leeds fan it wouldn’t necessarily fill you with confidence would it.

He's already done the job all of them wanted him to do, one that no one else had managed to achieve. If he keeps them up he'll be a god who can do whatever the **** he likes next season.

Hmmm. If you asked a selection of Leeds fans they make out he’s going to create some sort of footballing dynasty there...

In reality they go down this season he has a get out option, they stay up and he can have the pick of whatever job comes his way. I don’t blame him, at all, but I think Leeds fans are kidding themselves if they think he’s going to be there long term as many of them do - he has no previous history of staying anywhere for very long.

Bielsa is 65 and finds the job very very stressful as he commits almost obsessively to it 24 hours a day

Its why you don't see him at clubs more than a few years on average.

I do wonder if they will think about successor soon, pochettino would seem a natural fit there at some point.
