If he offered conformist, run of the mill predictions nobody would be talking about him. His predictions have always been shite but now they’re a feature - how many people pay attention to any other pundit’s predictions? Very few.

 

Anyway, we’ve lost to West Ham, Fulham, Everton and Villa this season. Most of us would have predicted we’d win in those games. Lawro will likely be wrong again on Sunday but it’s not unthinkable

That’s crazy when you consider the teams we have beaten  true foxes style.

Why does everybody dislike us? Since we won the league everybody has us down for defeat, or we won because the other team was playing bad, such negativity again us.

Don’t get me wrong it’s not impossible we lose to Leeds but his predictions have them in 5th this season  such a weirdly overrated club.

They don't. We get plenty of plaudits from pundits and journalists who actually know their stuff. Do some of our players deserve a bit more credit? Sure, but we aren't "disliked".

Mark Lawrenson retired from the spotlight in the late nineties. 

 

The BBC, fearing severe public backlash created a then-powerful AI to take his place.

 

The "AI" version of him appeared sometime around 2002. Despite how advanced the tech was at the time, the computer they use doesn't have enough rendering power to realistically recreate his famous moustache, hence the reason it disappeared without explanation around that time.

 

And so here we are, an AI running on near two-decade old hardware, so it's no wonder it talks out of its arse.

What always makes me laugh about Lawro is that he'll write a couple of paragraphs explaining how team A are in poor form and struggling for goals whilst still conceding on a regular basis, whilst team B are flying, can't stop scoring and have tightened up at the back.
