baldeagle Posted 7 March 2021 Posted 7 March 2021 And to think there was loads of fans moaning and saying what waste of time signing him on a loan would be .
Guest Manini Posted 8 March 2021 Posted 8 March 2021 Massively sorted himself out this season and he’s back to being as good if not better than his loan spell. He completely runs the show for us week in, week out he’s by far and away our most important player. I think he probably will win POTS and I don’t think anyone can begrudge him that, he deserves it purely for the amount of football he’s played whilst still holding himself to a very high standard.
brucey Posted 15 March 2021 Posted 15 March 2021 (edited) Everyone has been talking about Nacho with his hat-trick and Vardy with his hat-trick of assists, but Youri played a massive part in all 5 goals against SHU - a hat-trick of pre-assists, a pre-pre-assist and a tackle starting the attack leading to goal Edited 15 March 2021 by brucey 2
Sly Posted 15 March 2021 Posted 15 March 2021 I wonder if Youri just needs to keep playing games, to keep himself fit. It’s something that Alex Ferguson said about Wayne Rooney. If he didn’t, he’d easily put on weight and needed 10 games to get going. Play him non stop and he’s like a well oiled machine. 1 1

Let's be honest, most fans enjoy a good moan & football is the gift that keeps on giving for the avid moaner. A few fans were suggesting that Iheanacho be subbed off prior to his first goal !!! 1
Bazly Posted 15 March 2021 Posted 15 March 2021 On another slow news day the hacks have come up with a transfer opening for Mr T. Off to Inter Milan for Euro40mn, or in English £34mn which is pretty much what we paid for him. I assume that'd be a down payment. https://sempreinter.com/2021/03/15/inter-planning-e40m-move-for-leicester-citys-youri-tielemans-spanish-media-reports/ 1

Tielemans63 Posted 15 March 2021 Posted 15 March 2021 Have we offered him that mega new contract yet? Get it done Rudders. Should be up there with Vards and Kasper.
Jobyfox Posted 15 March 2021 Posted 15 March 2021 (edited) He's alright, but he's no Richie Wellens Edited 15 March 2021 by Jobyfox

Tielemans63 Posted 15 March 2021 Posted 15 March 2021 We were 9th in the table when he joined. One of the main reasons we've moved up a level IMHO. How can a man whose middle name is Marion be this awesome? 2

How can a man whose middle name is Marion be this awesome? Even that Spurs game, where we lost 3-1, was that yours first game? It was definitely the first time we saw the Maddison-Ndidi-Tielemans trio of a 6 & two 8s, we competed dominated that game and played some really good stuff we were just unlucky imo! Youri and Rodgers have been a symbol of our real sustain upturn in form - instrumental! 1

There were some difficult years, like his spell at AS Monaco, but the Belgium international is now firmly seen as one of the best at what he does in England, guided by Brendan Rodgers on a daily basis. The midfielder is enjoying himself at King Power Stadium, helping the club fight for a Champions League spot for the second year running, which appears to be the side’s goal for the season. Ahead of the upcoming international break, the player had a chat with RTBF in Belgium, where he discussed various parts of his career, including the transition from Monaco to Leicester. He said: “I won’t say Monaco was a failure. It’s true that it wasn’t the best like it is now where the results are following. At Monaco, there was a bit of bad luck too. I was injured, I took a but more time to be in the team, and then the second season didn’t go as well. We had so many injuries, so we had to play the youngsters a lot, who weren’t ready at that time. “When I arrived at Leicester, it all went quickly and well. The team was running smoothly. We complemented each other. It explains why today, everything is going well and I’m really enjoying myself. I’ve felt really comfortable in the team. They welcomed me with open arms and quickly put me at ease, and you can see it on the pitch”. Since joining Leicester, first on loan followed by a £40m transfer, the 23-year-old has made 96 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 15 goals and assisting another 18 for his teammates. 15 2

Vindaloo FOX Posted 18 March 2021 Posted 18 March 2021 One of the best midfielders in the world this season. Very lucky to have him. 4

Are those stats actually accurate? Only ask because it's from Sportwitness... If so, that's some going especially when you consider there must be another 20+ 'pre-assists' in there. Genuine world class player now. I think even the defensive side of his game is so underrated. 1
