2nd XI struggled to implement the gameplan of playing it out from the back.  

 

Further forward the passing was just not up to it.

 

Weird goals conceded. Laughable against anyone else.

 

For someone potentially fighting for his place, Gray stood out as particularly ineffective.

Our fringe players have had good opportunities to make themselves look good but theyve absolutely squandered almost every one.

 

Nachos terrible pass when it was a simple pass, Ward looking at a ball about 2 feet away from him and watching it go into back of his net, Gray pissing about on the ball doing nothing until he slips or gets tackled.

 

We have a lot of dead wood in this 11 and almost the other half are past it.

For a team of players with a point to prove not one player has done anything of note - hence why they won’t be playing in the league. 
 

As for Kelechi & Gray upfront I don’t think the ball stuck once, it was like dumb & dumber up there

Can't read too much into or get hot and bothered about that one I don't think.

 

A couple of experienced players who will have designs on starting games more frequently let themselves down. Rodgers will be hoping guys like Iheanacho and Gray would give him something to think about after a game like tonight however all they've done is make his job easier in terms of leaving them out.
