Hurts to hear that Ricardo is "way off" despite being told that he was due back at the end of October/start of November.

How can players who aren't able to play for their country are allowed to stay instead of returning? Praet was on the bench on Wednesday and now he's doubtful for us!?

That was the most disappointing part of the press conference. Hopefully by way off he means a month or so.

I don't get why Praet and Cags were not sent back or actually why Dennis even went in the first place? He is wearing a lot of strapping on his knee and both may of been able to continue treatment instead of sitting in a stand or on a bench! 🙄😔

They usually do don't they? But not in this case maybe it's something to do with covid bubbles etc I don't know.

Indeed. Estimates of return dates seem way off at the minute, which does raise questions about the physio team.

Realistically we are looking at;

Schmeichel, Castagne, Morgan, Fofana, Justin, Mendy, Tielemans, Maddison, Barnes, Iheanacho, Albrighton (To help deal with Grealish)

He could go with a back 5 of;

Albrighton (RWB), Justin, Morgan, Fofana, Castagne (LWB)

I think Evans & Vardy will play with injections though!

yeah not sure that is allowed / possible. Also not sure the players would be that happy about it.

They probably wouldn't tbf. I think Chelsea have asked their players, didn't a few get rested or miss out because of 'injuries'.

What's happening is players are getting injured on duty, coming back and then they'll be off again in 4 weeks, probably just as they get fit again, madness.

if vards was fit we could try a game of 'basketball' to try and outscore them.  they got seven last time - surely  they arent getting more than two this week after using up all their luck last time ?

Didn't we score 4 the week after scoring 9 against Villa last season?

Edit, nope just the 7 weeks between games lol

If Evans is fit then I don't think it will be as bad as we are fearing.

Kasper

Castagne

Fofana

Evans

Justin

Mendy

Tielemans

Under

Perez

Barnes

Iheanacho

It's actually not bad, nothing on the bench though.

That would look even better if Maddison is fit enough to replace Perez.

Really don't understand why northern Ireland felt the need to start Johnny Evans in 3 games in 7 days including 120 minutes in the first one.

fair enough the first one was absolutely massive for them, no complaints but that last game against Norway was a complete joke they rested every single other player except Evans and he's 32 and carrying an injury coming into the international break!

This :mad:

Anyone else find it silly that we're letting Benkovic go out, given our injury list/schedule?

Yeah, can’t criticise injuries but think it’s daft getting rid of the remaining cover left.

Even so as Europa League begins Thursday

...there was a lot of positivity regarding him being back in training!!!

Sometime you just do not come back or come back to your best after this kind of injury. The weird thing was that he played on in the match, nearly 9 months ago, what were we thinking?

Can I just check, in case I've misunderstood you... But did you mean Southampton?
