For some reason Youtube recommended this video. A bit of Kasper (aged 8 I think) playing pool at 1.00 and being slightly less vocal than he is now at 1.30

Class today :appl:

Thought exactly the same (even if you're being a little tongue-in-cheek!). While he didn't have a lot to do, the way he commanded the defence, especially in the first half, was brilliant and you could see the players following what he said. He's got so much authority and that kind of guidance is invaluable, especially for a young player like Fofana.

Must of been a record for least amount of touches a GK had with his hands today! Did he even handle it once?

Picked up a backpass at one point

just once I'd love to hear a defender say something sarcastic back to his "head away" shouts at corners

Still kicks the ball out of play sometimes so think we should get rid still

There’s actually quite a valid reason why keepers do this though - in the way that you should always make the call if you’re going to claim the ball, you also make the call to let the defender know that there is no chance the keepers coming over the back of you to claim it and therefore can just focus on heading the ball away.

Our defenders all know that kasper isn’t coming off his line!

By shouting, he lets the striker know that they aren’t going to be clattered by the keeper!

Nah, agree with @pmcla26. Any level of coaching you're always learnt to 'talk' and communicate. Kasper does this superbly. Saying what he does - whether he stays on his line or comes out to catch it - he's always very vocal. It lets his defenders in front of him know where he (and they) stand. No pun intended!

My comment was fairly facetious but did contain some basis ....there are occasions where even a keeper of four foot six should be coming to catch things (or even punch)  ...... he does v occasionally come to claim so it’s not like he can’t do it

Kinda annoying that it's not simply for the whole league.

But you can also see that Kasper's stats look even better considering he tries a lot more long passes than those other keepers among the most accurate overall.

He's got the 2nd best long pass accuracy. Although he's only actually ranked 9th there on number of long passes.
