I was surprised that he had so few top flight appearances.  Was also in school with Noel Gallagher.

 

Really unfortunate how he struggled so badly with illness over the last 10 years or so.

 

Bit of a journeyman footballer in truth but forever a legend for that goal. What an iconic moment.

 

RIP Alan.

Might be wrong but didn’t he score in the play offs against us? Think it was the second leg.
