Given Söyüncü’s recent injury struggles makes sense to ease him back in. Played 40mins only a couple of days ago, so could start the Brentford game along with a couple of other fringe players (Ünder, Ricardo, Perez etc.)

If it is unchanged then that's good man management with Fofana. Also might not be keen to rest Soyuncu from the start just yet.

 

Anyone else find the 8.15pm kick off irrationallly annoying, just start the first game at 5.30pm so we can start at 8 FFS

I suspect you're right there. If you were a Brentford fan and heard Leicester were going to play their fringe players you might be pretty excited. Until you asked, 'like who'? And were told Ricardo, Soyuncu, Amartey, Thomas, Mendy, Under, Perez, etc etc!

I thought Soyuncu was top class when he came on against Southampton, after 10 minutes he looked back to his best already!

 

But he's too good a player to risk rushing back, and Fofana has barely put a foot wrong since being here (sans the Blonde haircut!).

 

I thought we might also see Ricardo in just to try to exploit Chilwell. Look at how every time we played Man City, Mahrez ran rings around him, he knew he had Chilwell beat all day long, probably due to training sessions at Belvoir drive! So based on that it's almost certain Soy and Riccy will start against Brentford, which is the right call. It is possible one or both come on tonight though. If we wanted to see out a lead late on, then a back 3 of Fofana, Soyuncu and Evans is actually a ridiculous proposition to think about!

I wonder if Giroud will start for them. We are vulnerable off set pieces and he will thrive off them.

Cracks me up that SFE actually has a source, when it comes to line ups at least. Seeing as we don't have any transfer ITKs anymore, he is arguably our top ITK

I know exactly what you meant, but did you really refer to Ricardo as a 'fringe' player?

Could be a very difficult game for Tielemans and N Didi ... especially if Havertz plays and with potentially Werner/Pulisic/Mount lurking around in the offensive midfield area.  For me Havertz plays very much like Özil but is physical.  I hope it is not raining too much, I expect good football overall today !!!

Haha I should have clarified fringe players/ those returning from injury. Was also to emphasise the calibre of players we have on the bench

To be honest yes transfers I love to get into ahead of time. This for me is just stupid. Giving away our team 2 hours before kick off is not exciting but is potentially detrimental to us. What kind of supporter would do something that could potentially hurt our teams chances!?
