Guesty Posted 26 December 2025 Posted 26 December 2025 It was weird when Cooper dropped him. Now I'm starting to wonder if he's forcing/demanding/asking the manager to play him inverted. Might work for him, but it really exposes our central defenders and they aren't good enough to deal with it. I'd rather see Aluko given a run of games. 1

Okoli is bomb scare on the ball, what do people expect? Ricky going into that inverted role would have been apart of our game plan to get the ball forward. When hes played with Vestegaard at CB he doesnt invert as much as he did especially recently.
EastAnglianFox Posted 26 December 2025 Posted 26 December 2025 He must know as well us that his legs have just gone, it’s sad to see how lost he looks and the amount of fouls he gives away probably shows that he’s massively frustrated and just trying too hard to show it’s still there. One of the very few I care for at the club but moving forward he simply has to move on in the summer. 2
MonarchFox Posted 26 December 2025 Posted 26 December 2025 I've enjoyed watching Ricky P in his pomp. Injuries have curtailed his career. He's on a high wage and his knees are fooked. Sadly he needs to go as we need these types of players off the books to get out of this PSR mess
Buzzard Posted 26 December 2025 Posted 26 December 2025 His 'free pass' is wearing a bit thin. See no redeeming features in him as a captain. He's been woeful the last few games - late tackles, misplaced passes. A shadow!

00rawat Posted 26 December 2025 Posted 26 December 2025 Its a shame to see him like this ,one of my favorite players pre- injuries ,now cant pass, cant run, yeah his defo done out here, but knowing rudders probably give him another 3-2 year contract.
foxile5 Posted 26 December 2025 Posted 26 December 2025 One of the best in the Premier league in his prime and currently one of the worst in the championship. Sad
JJD_LCFC Posted 26 December 2025 Posted 26 December 2025 He is not a captain. And performances have declined a lot. need to give the captaincy to JJ. Captain has to set the example for the team. Ricardo lacks in performance and leadership. Probably the best RB we have ever had, however been poor for the season.

He kept playing JJ at RB even though he was our worse player most weeks. Ricky is a shadow of the player he was 5-6 yrs ago, but under Marti every player that walked the Championship, has regressed massively. 1
filbertway Posted 27 December 2025 Posted 27 December 2025 Was unlucky not to get an assist after a good run and cross. Can't remember who found him with the pass but it was about the best bit of play of the day.
Danizen Posted 27 December 2025 Posted 27 December 2025 (edited) Something about the way he runs just screams, 'finished!' to me. Not great for any player but for a wingback that likes to get forward and step into midfield, it's hard to watch. Edited 27 December 2025 by Danizen
Will1981 Posted 5 January Posted 5 January We concede yet another goal down his side, how can he leave his man in so much space schoolboy defending.
StanSP Posted 5 January Posted 5 January Shite for their goal but also made two very good clearances - back post header and one off the line. He's as consistent as the rest of the squad. 1

coolhandfox Posted 5 January Posted 5 January You defend as a unit, we are all over the place, which makes the individual mistakes more costly.
HankMarvin Posted 5 January Posted 5 January Unfortunately another luxury player overpaid, four of the top earners to go come the summer and it can’t come quick enough 1
Long Eaton Fox Posted 6 January Posted 6 January He should be inverting when we have possession and rb when defending. Problem is we lose possession quickly and he's moved into midfield leaving huge gaps. He also dives in too quickly and his passing is now poor. New full backs required. Nelson on the other hand is class. Only one in the back 4 who is!
Bourbon Fox Posted 6 January Posted 6 January Sad to watch him tonight. He's done. Okoli bailed him out several times. Some poor passes and even his touch looked clumsy. Was glad to see him clear off the line, but he doesn't have the legs to push as far forward as he does. He was in some bizarre positions tonight when we needed a right back and there was no way he was getting there. 2

There was one moment where he tracked back and had to slide to concede a corner and it was like he was running through mud. Previously, I'd have expected him to keep that in and play out.
Jimmy Posted 6 January Posted 6 January It might be time for him to be a sub DM problem is we don't have a replacement right back

So if Ricardo legs were gone, who was the 3rd player we had for that position to allow JJ to be dropped? Most of the things JJ was blamed for was not really his fault on an individual level, we just had ignorant fans blaming him, ignoring how the team lost the ball earlier in play etc. He even got blamed for that Forest goal when Ricardo lost possession with a back heel. 2
