The thing is Bennett was part of a very good defence for Wolves that finished 7th the season before. Chalobah last had a good season for Watford when Bruce Jenner still had a chopper.

Wolves are/were about as adventurous as Bin Laden circa 2002-2011, it suited him down to the ground.

I get what you're saying but Chalobah fulfils a need we have because our midfield without Ndidi lacks any proper defensive ability and athleticism

Yes, lets spends millions and millions for a state of the art facilities but for few quality signings? Nah.

Championship dead weight will suffice. Deal with it plebeians.

Here is quite simply an ASTONISHING stat... Chalobah out of 226 games of his career has played ACM once! ONCE.

Just let that sink in. He did get an assist in that game though 😂😂😂

This strikes me as one they've not scouted. Rodgers fancies it and think he'll be able to fix him.

I don’t have any issues with this signing:

1. Fresh face

2. Probably won’t play much so getting someone half decent in Jan is tough

3. Better than Hamza

4. Extra bod for Europa

5. Worked with Brendan before

6. Wont cost much

We are in 2 cup competitions, competitively and with a chance of winning one or both. We are chasing potentially our second highest league finish ever and Champions League football.

The managers response? Deliberately weaken the squad. This is why he gets a lot of stick, despite all the good he will go out and do something as baffling as this.

It just doesnt make sense. Hamza needs minutes? I don’t really care, he is employed by the club and he will do whatever job the club sees fit. Revisit it in the summer if its an issue, not on deadline day when our best DM is injured and has been struggling with fitness all season.

For ****s sake am I going to have to change my profile picture? Really can't be arsed! lol*

*actually have no issues with this as long as we also bring in an attack minded midfielder and this is just to allow Hamza to get games.

What did we learn from the ryan bennett fiasco (cover so that benkovic could go out and get games)?

We should only bring in players able to.play at top six  level (as we may have to play them)

If Chalobah is cover for Hamza I'm not too fussed...we have more pressing concerns though...like bringing in someone that can give Youri a rest here and there. There must be some lad in their 30s who's at a big club and not getting much game time that would be happy to come in and play in a Europe league campaign
