I’m thinking Susan Whelan is currently composing one

Eh? He didn’t do anything of the sort. Is this guy deaf, or just stupid? Corden was making the point that the new system is intended to stop teams like Leicester ever winning the top competition again. He only mentioned Liverpool once, when he lists the teams who have signed up. How can Blodgett possibly listen to this clip and suggest that Corden said “ Leicester are on the same level as Liverpool”.  Cognitive dissonance at its most extreme.

As it happens, we are ahead of Liverpool right now, which does, as Corden points out, “give every fan hope”. THAT is the whole point.

Don’t even get me started on Tottenham’s success over the last 60 years and their fans blathering on about how they are a top 6 team.

It's because Corden said Leicester has the same number of titles as Liverpool, which is correct of course, but a little disingenuous.

So your saying that lawmakers can act on a whim. Are you for that or against it, because you seem to be condemning it and calling for it at the same time?

Lawmakers don't seem to have much of a problem changing laws to benefit the ruling class and their masters. Wish it was a perfect world but sometimes you have to fight with what you have.

Your own square foot +-:)

I have a feeling none of these channels have been approached because the ESL is planning their own On-Demand service that cuts the likes of Sky, BT and Amazon out of the deal.

I imagine it is 100% this.

Technically in the last 30 years we’ve won 3 times as many league titles as them. They should know their place.

I don't think they can be kicked out, you'll need 15 votes.

I cannot see how they can play in the Champions League or any UEFA competition next season after all this even if this project collapses (which I think is looking more likely).

I don’t believe that Amazon wouldn’t have been part of this deal. Are these statements that are starting to emerge more about media companies trying to distance themselves from the inevitable backlash and the consequent damage to their shares.

UEFA are not against a super league. They are against it not being THEIR super league.

I think the thing most people are so angry about is not the idea of a Super League,   its the idea that this will be a closed elite group based on money not merit that they can never get relegated from.

Hopefully, looking at the job they did on website creation, that might be the final nail in their coffins.

Being in the fa cup final, and winning the league allows me to laugh to this

Exactly, otherwise I would cry!

I watched this game at the Stag, a Leicester City pub in London and I spent the next 3 hours crying after that 90 seconds!

But it was the catalyst for the greatest story of all time and the triumphant rise of the Foxes. Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger!

I will be contacting my Android Box Provider in China and insist they do not include any ESL coverage. I would not watch this shite for free.   JP Muppet projections must be calculated upon basis the 6 Scum Bags remain in the EPL. Exclusion from the EPL and loss of 19 Match day revenue will cost this shower the best part of UKP 200m.   Does not look so rosy then.

Hmm I'm not convinced; the League structure was created by the poor rather than some then Captains of Industry, philanthropical ones in many cases but also did their best to ensure the footballers knew their place.

Morality must prevail in this instance, the long term future of the game and our club relies on it.

Pragmatism is letting them off the hook scot free and allowing them to regather and plan another assault.
This cannot be done without consequence, not now, not ever.

It's a bit like VAR, everybody wanted it, until they got it. None of us can know how this will work out in the end. My concern is for the team I support. I don't want lots of different clubs unable to pay the debts they've taken out on the basis of future earnings all of a sudden in the shit. I don't want to go back to the half empty decrepit stadiums that we had in the 80s.

Obviously there has to be some kind of guarantee that they can't resurrect this every other year. This has come to a head now it has to be settled 1 way or another.
