Maddison was excellent vs Man City, got a feeling he's going to start the season well.

I can't believe I'm saying it but my concern bar Perez is knowing what to do with Vardy. How long do we give him if he isn't performing before we get Daka on?

For me, Vardy has never stopped performing - it's his shot timing that's been off, but his back-up play has gotten better, if anything.

I think the key for Vardy will be Maddison and, to a lesser extent Barnes. Maddison for his eye for a pass and Barnes for the panic he causes defences.

Perez has to be relegated to the bench. For me he symbolises Rodgers indecisiveness over how to improve the right. Castagne and Ricardo, in tandem, might solve that conundrum.

Been looking forward to this day for months but looks like I have ended up catching COVID so now can't go to the game. Gutted is an understatement 😭

I'm sorry to hear that. I decided not to attend matches for the time being (extra irony being I'm booked to work in Leicestershire today) but I wish nothing but the best for all attendees today, in result and health. I will be very happy if there are no Covid casualties as a result & I fear that's unlikely, but that's by the by.

Same here, decided to wait until the Man City game when I'll be double vaccinated. Hopefully I regret not going more than going.

Hope everyone enjoys it and more importantly is ok afterwards.

That's one heck of a downer, I hope you're clear soon.

If we can keep that back line solid I.e. Bertrand/Cags/Vestergaard/RP I think we'll be fine. I think Vestergaard must start as he's a seasoned pro and despite the amount of time he's had with the squad he'll be indispensable with wolves wingers knocking those balls in the box which is one of their strong points.

If anybody has any decent HD streaming links for the game (It's been a while) please DM me (but don't post them on here!)

Thanks,

Nick

Sorry to repeat a question if it has already been asked but is First Row still the best for a stream? Does anyone know of any new platform or what is the best platform?

Please DM me.

Thanks

Hope so, will find out later. Had grown used to all the matches being on tv.

A Saturday 3pm kick-off, there's a novel idea, I wonder if it will catch on...

Anyway from a Wolves perspective, I'm pretty pessimistic about our chances. There are roughly two trains of thought around the Mol at the moment, either Fosun / Mendes are going to spring into action with a raft of signings from nowhere by the end of the transfer window or Bruno Lage has been thrown under the bus. Strange to get rid of Nuno on the basis of wanting to play more expansive football, bring in someone they think can do that, listen to his plans and then not fund/support them. The weaknesses from past transfer windows haven't been addressed - i.e. CB to allow solid 4-4-2, CM to support Moutinho's ageing legs and let Neves play higher up the pitch and a CF. Not quite sure of Fosun's intentions at the moment, from basically copying King Power's approach in building fan relationships, it's gone a bit meh.. recently. Maybe as an investment company they are being cautious in the pandemic.

Pre-season bar a few green shoots of a new system has been underwhelming and nothing to make you stand up and say we are going in to this game confident.

2-0 to Leicester would be my prediction, sadly from my point of view and the only reason I am clinging to otherwise is that is also Lawro's prediction. Great to see Raul back fit, hope he returns the player he was and intrigued to see what Trincao adds.

Sadly no ticket for me, so will be playing golf at Cosby and seeing what joy or despair my notifications bring.

I think Rodgers will start with Amartey alongside Soyuncu in a back 4. Vestergard on bench.
Would start KDH instead of Perez but can’t see it happening.
Anyone who knows of a decent HD stream please dm.

For me team selection is a dilemma. The only thing I feel certain of is Perez shouldn’t start.

Can see Rodgers going for the safety first option in Albrighton given one thing Wolves have are dangerous pacey wingers (Neto, Trincao, Traore)

Neto is bost atm, Trincao hasn't fully settled in yet, and Traore is cough...."mercurial" (see also cack - depending on your viewpoint)
