Nice, love me some Riccy P. I want a fully fit season from him next season, tearing it up!

On normal form he really should be playing for a team competing for titles and in the Champions league. Hopefully we see more of that Ricardo again

Phenomenal player. Please keep Ricky fit, one of the best in the League, so consistent when he's on it. Love how he seems such a nice guy off the pitch but on it he's always scowling and throwing F words out at refs.

Definitely one who was high up on the retention priority list

I'm a massive fan of this too 😂

Love his passion, love his willingness to get stuck in, and adore his blistering runs forward. Fully fit, he is the best right back in the league for me (I don't consider TAA a fullback, he's more like a deep RM).

So happy to see this! Congrats Ricky P!

There's no finer sight than seeing our Ricky on a slalom through the oppos defence. I find it odd that pundits discussing our injury problems and absentees very rarely mention him. You'd think it would be a good news story coming back from an ACL and leg break but it's almost like they have forgotten him. I don't think that he's ever received the credit deserved for such a top talent. Probably good news for us because when you know, you know. And we do.

BRILLIANT. Fantastic player, fantastic bloke. Good on the club for making the case.

This is good stuff. :) Now leave the injury woes behind you Ricardo and become one of the best attacking fullbacks in world football again.

This is FANTASTIC news! How can you not love Ricky P! Hopefully this will be the beginning of a few more contract negotiations.  He is a fantastic player andthis sets a good precedent hopefully

Amazing news! Its hard not to love him, and seems like he loves it here too. Great stuff.

When they're all fit and firing there aren't many clubs who can claim to have a better/more complete set of fullbacks than Ricardo, Justin, Thomas and Castagne. Really exciting if we can get them all available for selection at once

Good start! Need a few more of these!

Vesty next - five year contract extension

I used to think he was indestructible before his injury. He was getting stuck in and often I wondered how he could come out uninjured. Jinxed. I feel bad for him that he had so many injuries since his ACL. I blame Grealish for that tackle. But then again the club is at fault for rushing him back. I hope he gets back to his best. He deserves it. Meanwhile, so happy has has signed his extension. He seemed he is a loyal guy and this is now confirmed.

Joking, ain’t my money, a proper difference maker, and a pleasure to see him commit.  :scarf:

Actually, could well be that Ricky is on the same as his first contract or even a little less. I doubt there are many clubs queuing up to give him a deal out to 2026 at the moment …..
