It’s sour grapes and a questionable memory. Leicester fans were lauding him whilst he was here !! That’s why he went for £85 million.

I think the underlying message on this topic is 'Ha I'm glad that he's failed. 100% nobody wanted him to go at the time.

Said it whilst he was here and said it when he left. Great in the air and good on the ball. But often caught out of position and gets turned too easily. I think he got overhyped by a lot of our fans after he scored against Brighton on his home debut. Don’t get me wrong at times he put some real good performances in for us but he also had his fair share of shockers.

Whatever may be said negatively about him, to be fair he would improve both our defending and attacking ability in the air.  This is one aspect that I think we have missed.

Have you seen much of him recently. He is and always will be very good in the air but his defending and general demeanour has not been good. Hence the headlines

Man Utd skipper Harry Maguire 'upsets team-mates' as star could be replaced in summer
MANCHESTER UNITED defender Harry Maguire has been slammed for his poor form this season.

Manchester United skipper Harry Maguire has apparently upset his team-mates by openly criticising their mistakes on the pitch despite struggling with his own form this season. Maguire joined the Red Devils from Leicester City in August 2019 and was appointed captain by former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United shelled out £80million to prise the England international away from the Foxes as they set a new world record transfer fee for a defender. And he has been a key part of the United backline ever since.

But the star has been slammed for his displays at times and his performances have been inconsistent this season.

Maguire came under the spotlight last month as the 13-times Premier League champions surrendered leads against Burnley and Southampton.

And, according to the Daily Mail, some United players are not happy about how the 28-year-old has reacted to their blunders and have also taken exception to what he has told the media.

Maguire could only muster a place on the bench for United’s Premier League stalemate against Watford last weekend.

Interim manager Ralf Rangnick suggested the player had only been rested for that encounter after the team had returned in “the middle of the night” following their Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.

But it remains to be seen whether Maguire will return for the Manchester derby on Sunday as United travel to the Etihad Stadium.

The Red Devils are reportedly on the hunt for a world-class centre-back in the summer, with Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger and Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo being touted as possible options.

So Maguire could soon find himself battling to save his United career if club chiefs decide he is no longer part of their long-term plans.

Despite the canyon sized holes in our defence (at the moment) I’d still think twice about having him back, if it was to happen. His issue now is that he carries a real clownishness that I just don’t think he’ll be able to shake due to the price tag he was awarded by his move to Manchester United. I’m convinced the narrative surrounding Maguire wouldn’t be remotely close to what it is now if he’d been sold for what he’s probably worth (£15-25 million).

Ones of the things l love  about this is my mate who is a Man U fan was giving me pelters when they signed him saying we were a small club and they were a big club and could sign who they liked and our best players  . Didn’t care about the price as it’s not his money and they’re a rich club . I told him then we’d had their pants down good player bit  not a good defender . It’s so nice to keep reminding him I warned  him 😂

Used to really annoy me that Maguire would make a mistake and nobody would say anything yet Morgan would make a mistake and everybody would crucify him.

For all the banter, he’d be great for us. Him and Fofana at the back would be up there with one of the best defensive partnerships in the league.

I wanted him to go. £80m for him! Don't get me wrong, I don't buy into this 'he was rubbish' nonsense because that's plainly not true. But he didn't have the best season and Evans was already way ahead of him, then we go the bonus of Soyuncu coming through. We were always going to be able to replace him and use the money for something else on top of the replacement so I wanted the move to happen, but the fact is, by the end of that season we'd essentially sold a guy who would have been our third choice centre back for a world record fee. Words can't express how good a deal that was for us.

Where's the leadership? Not coming from Maguire that's for sure. Peak Soyuncu or peak Maguire is no contest. And yet we'd still have a similar issue in that Cags isn't the organiser we need.

I really hope he never wins a single major honour at club level. I want to see his brother in tears.

You reckon he's going Spurs then?

Feel like I'm missing out on some quality banter being a Leicester fan.

Honestly I think gallows humor comes naturally enough to Leicester fans.

Captain HAIRY MAGOO certainly has his strong points but to be a world class defender he's not well rounded. He lacks pace, vision, awareness and responsibility. The Manu job is a step too high for him not that I'm complaining as we made good money on that deal. The whole England project is what really elevated him to that position as captain. The other thing is the rest of his manu team mates are pants too hence everyones form suffers. Another example was todays Manchester derby. Christ - they don't even know what planet there on let alone a local rivalry.

I think when he looks back over his career, his best days have been wearing an England shirt. His performance levels seem to go up that extra 5-10%. He would be better to get out of United now and start a fresh. I don't think he would consider coming back here neither should we want him back. We have moved on. Someone with money to burn will take him.
