If his pay isn't at least being matched, if his family don't fancy living in the area of the club, if he just doesn't fancy the set up of the club or prospects for playing,  why should he go? We signed him and gave him the deal he was willing to move to us for.

 

It's a job and he's a man with a family. Would you move, just to keep a few football fans happy, or to show some kind of bizarre care or loyalty to a club who change their minds and want rid of you 5 minutes after they've bought you? Particularly when the manager is playing you in a certain manner that even a halfwit knows or should know you can't play.

 

All down to the manager and recruitment team, not the fault of the player and any others like him.

Looks what Conte did with the players who he didn't want in his squad.

Winks, Reguilon, Lo Celso and Ndombele weren't included in the overseas tour and then got banished from training with the other squad players when they came back and couldn't train in the new training ground.

It certainly has worked with only Winks left who nobody wants.... Reguilon will probably go in a few days, talks are ongoing.

 

While Vestergaard jokingly trains with the rest of the players and doesn't seem the slightest concern that he's not wanted here.

I know we are a family oriented club but we seem to be seen as soft by everyone
