Did I say he was the best thing since sliced bread? Don't just make stuff up 😂 I've said I'm not a fan. But yearning for two managers who under performed with England is weird.

I didn't say you though that, just saying that people love him for no reason.

I'm not yearning for past managers, I'm saying they might as well have been in charge, they were shit, Southgate has done the same.

Southgate's like Rodgers in two  ways - works to a rigid plan, despite the need to adapt at critical moments. He has his favourites - and that's the end of. Despite all the talking up, only Saka and Bellingham have really stood out in this WC.

There's no one like Griezmann in our team. Madders is the only one with his kind of awareness, but Southgate picks good workers rather than creators. Tchoumeni had the confidence and technique to throw a sucker punch. England were gifted two penaltys. They needed more than that to beat France.

I expect France will win this but hope Croatia do. May the best team left win.

The French will win it. Best team by a mile

He looked good to me. Fair enough on the tracking back but he looked good going forward. Sterling is a waste of time. Poor man's Lloyd dyer.

Yeah he was brilliant up to that point. Sterling seemed to hang back and almost playing right wing back when he came on.

He hasn't though, he's gone further than either of them 😂 that's factual

A reminder that Maddison finally got his nose in the squad bevause of these stats. Turns out if he really wants to make an appearance off the bench in the last few moments, you need to aim for the bottom of the list

People can be cheery and positive BUT with the squad of players England have, this era is missing BIG  chances to win trophies.

People making excuses and bollox but in another 10 years they will look back at this era as wasted opportunities

I really fell into a deep depression after last summer which had me considering taking my own life. I told myself I wouldn't get my hopes up, but we went and did it again. And now that happens. I'd rather we just got pumped 4-0.

Time to just take tomorrow to recover on sunday and prepare for work.

I know easy to say but try to look at the bright side of it. France will go out with Marocco, you wouldn't want that right ;) Take good care of yourself mate

That was a real missed opportunity wasn't it? Previous tournaments I've felt annoyed at how we've underachieved or underperformed, but I just felt the opponent was really ordinary this time and that just makes it so much more frustrating.

Getting into this and basing your routine around it and thinking about it non stop really fills the void, and when it ends it can be very triggering. Thankfully I know what to do to prevent it being as bad this time. Thank you

Good to hear you have some form of coping strategy, there will be reminders of tonight via the media for several days, hard to avoid but find your way through or ask for support.

Tonight?

You're referencing this generation and him overall though, prior to tonight he had always passed what either of them did. Tonight he's matched what either of them did and did it in far better fashion
