...yet there were no palpable dissent towards the board or the manager!!!

The media did not pick it up, and certainly the majority of supporters did not have a sense that there was any dissatisfaction throughout the games.

If there was a moment where the whole of the ground should have made itself heard, it was then. The effect was a manager who stayed too long, because no pressure was being brought to bear on him from above.

While I agree it didn't spread as it could, and maybe should have, there were pockets of dissent

Well it certainly did not transmit around the ground, small pockets of dissent does not make it a toxic atmosphere which it definitely wasn’t, even the matches where there were banners in the UFS area there was very little uptake anywhere else in the ground. A few hundred out of 29k or so just isn’t toxic. If it had of been just maybe our idiot of a manager would have gone sooner.

Would also say on at least 3/4 occasions it ended up with guys having full blown punch ups, which at that point I would consider toxic. Think it is extremely rare for an entire stadium to be up in arms booing in the modern era, top of my head I can only really think of Newcastle in the past 5 years or so, What it’s worth I don’t necessarily blame our fans, it is always going to get sticky when things are ran as badly as they were last couple of years, just hope we give the new era a proper go

Well that’s our twatty fans issue isn’t it.

Well yeah, but it'll impact the club if we have a slow start.

I think the difference between us and Burnley/Forest et al is that if we don't start relatively quickly (top 6 after 10 games or so) then I think fans will be on the club's back again. It'll be toxic like it was last season.

I think the club needs to keep the fans onside this year if we're to be successful.

Even more so given we play Huddersfield, Rotherham and Cardiff. As well as a local derby in our first 4 games.

It’s still a headache for the club either way @Babylon

Yeah, but the responsibility is on us as fans. So either way doesn't matter.

It's our fans choice if they want to be fickle or not.

Seen Leiceater fans scrapping with Leicester fan, constant booing/slagging off of Leicester players and barely any support for the team.

You're welcome to think that's all normal but it was the most toxic season I've seen at the club in a good 15 years or so.

Wasn't at all enjoyable.

After 5 games?

...it is done when an adverse decision goes against our players!!!

It can be heard when a wild tackle takes out one of our players, the berating of the referee due to his perceived incompetence, all instances where the anger of the supporters can be heard in unison.

We were far too happy accepting what we were seeing and supporters willing to push back were berated or having banners snatched from them and being spat on.

I think if we try to move the ball about like we did against Northampton, most of our educated fans will be quite happy, even if the results don't go out way.

After how timid we were last season... is that even a problem for the club.

Our fans would clap if someone sat in the centre circle spinning like homer simpson all game.

I’m generally very supportive of UFS— they’re genuinely trying to build active support that doesn’t just lap up whatever crap the club want to serve.

But this was disappointing. We were in a death spiral and UFS had the opportunity to make a real statement but opted to be as vague as possible here. Adults say what they mean and mean what they say; however, I have faith that if a similar opportunity arises itself in the future, then UFS will do better with their protest/statement.

Sorry did you want me to keep a diary?

No just validate your statement as it seems a gross exaggeration. But not to worry we can agree to disagree about our incredibly toxic atmosphere’s last season.
