Yes.. Only one game,but he looks the right fit, and I think 60% of the opposition defenders might find him difficult. But like you mention

he will have his „winger“ days..  

He can counter that if we have more players attacking and in the box..and we do the pressing..Last seasons our manager  & fanbase worried more about Barnes defending & not really dropping the chains.Mahrez also had to contend with too much OTT defensive duties…Bogged us down with slow movement & releasing early ball and free flow..

He looked knackered after 25 minutes & I thought he had a really underwhelming first half.

 

Got a bit of grief from the Kop for getting knocked off the ball too easily.

 

Looked a different player from 60 mins onwards though. Nice to see a winger who doesn't appear to be a one-trick pony in terms of taking players on.

I put it down to the fact he has only been at the club a week, maybe not ready for 2 matches in 4 days yet

He didn't have much of a preseason did he? Pretty sure he sat out at least one game for Montpellier as the transfer drew out

Did well to work the opportunity but that keeping is horrendous

 

What I liked about him though is that he seems to have a big engine in him! Was running back to help out the defence several times and also getting back up the pitch to attack.

Looks a very good player at this level. Sort the decision making out and he could be special. Thought Wanya did well in the first half aswell but needed to be a bit more aggressive in the final third

He seems to get better as games go into their latter stages. Perhaps his fitness, but also I imagine as the game gets more stretched.

In two tight games he's been the difference maker both times so far. Cant expect him to do that every week, need an attacking midfield and a RW to help distribute the burden in tight situations.

Everyone has always said that a key difference between the Championship and Premier League is the quality of goalkeeping...

Keeper will obviously be disappointed but it's extremely fiercely struck. Good effort. Deserved it.

He makes a big difference to the way we play. Stretches the game, takes players on, makes chances for the attacking midfielders. His final ball needs a bit more improvement, but I think it will come with confidence. Already has a goal and an assist from 2 games, which is pretty good going.

 

What's really good about him is his work ethic. He tracks back, presses hard and puts in a shift on top of the attacking quality.

 

If we have another similar player on the other side, we will be too good for this division.

Actually think he’s having to dumb down his play a bit. He’s come from a league which is very technical yet in this division, he will find being direct works best ala his goal
