The problem with the loan is that we’ll never sell him at the end once they’ve seen him play. No wonder we were holding out for a fee.

I have no feelings toward any of this lot. Even some of the better footballers in this list like Maddison have clear flaws in his character that contributed to what happened. 
 

The one that tickles me the most is how Tielemans is getting on at Villa. It will be fascinating to see how many league games he gets, and the point at which they fully realise they’ve bought a 26 year old in a 40 year olds body.

So I'm wondering at what Stage Johnny Evans 34 and out of contract says to his agent " you know what, get on the blower to Manchester United, I  reckon I could get the gig there..."?

 

 

 

Thats the surprise transfer for me..  Got in the team of the week last week too, i think...

Think it was more like Manchester United saying you're always welcome back and he's gone there to train and they've seen he's at a good enough level to have as back up. At worst he would be around to help the u21s and probably start his way into coaching.

 

I always thought a lot of him until his interview at the end of last season. It dawned on me then that it wasn't just the obvious ones like Soumare, it was a whole dressing room lacking character, leadership and a backbone.

When I said he'd struggle to get into my Sunday league team people told me he was a good player, he is garbage, if Dean Smith hadn't played him as much as he did I'm sure we'd still be in the Premier League. 

 

He offers absolutely nothing, can't defend or track a man and runs like he's running through treacle. A shame it's only a loan as there's no way will we anyone pay any more for him when he's played for them.

Maddison haters still clowning themselves.  Stays healthy, he’ll be Spurs player of the season and recognized as a major star.  Now both very, very productive and a consummate entertainer.  (Not so much different than what he was for us.)

 

He was immature and has an ego.  So what?!  Successful young footballers grow up in a bubble and most have maturity issues.  Some grow out of it, some don’t.  Maddison is turning out to be an articulate leader and spokesman.  If he didn’t have that big ego -- that confidence -- he’d never have become the player he is.

 

We had him in his growing-up years because we can’t afford such talent in peak, got-their-act-together form.  But I forget, he torched 5 grand on an idiotic backpack and painted his own mug on his stadium suite.  He must be shite beyond all shite.  Glad the little snot is gone.

Yet he still out performed and out worked chubby Tielemans! Therein lay the problem.

Great player and don't understand the hate towards him, it was the same with Mahrez, some of our fan base are weird.

I thought Cags was the next Gentile & Simeone knew a CB when he saw 1 yet has only been involved in 45mins of league football & that's spread out over 2 sub appearances despite being available, even Evans has more minutes in the Premier Lge.

 

Gotta chuckle at the likes of Tielemans & Barnes, starters for us yet struggle to get 15mins per game currently. Think we knew Maddison would shine, Perez doing really well & Castagne will be a steady starter for Fulham.

I get it with Mahrez after his sulks and strikes. Not with Madders. Wish him all the best. Unless we’re playing them.

10 goals and 9 assists in a relegated side. Was ridiculous he never got player of the season last season tbh.

 

4 assists already. He'd be in double figures at the end of the season if Kane was still there.

 

Good player and I will give him a welcome reception if he ever returns to face us.
