This is one of the most one sided, ridiculous ref performances I've seen in a long time.

Since playing all the money clubs last season you mean?

You have to pick and choose your moments. Sometimes Liverpool play slow and precise from the back, other times quickly. We on the other hand, just play one way. We need to be smart and unpredictable, that doesn't mean not playing from the back, but to do it smartly.

But do we really have the players on show tonight to do that? I’d argue not. Tonight was about;

Not getting battered

Avoid any injuries

See how other players cope in this new system

Give minutes to those who need them and see how we fair against a better opponent.

All in all I’m really not fussed, we’ve shown something, even with a much changed side, but ultimately we’re being beaten by a far better team at this time. Hopefully the group will take some confidence from tonight and carry it into the rest of the season. See how we fair in the FA cup when that comes around.

Meh, changed 10 players.. one seemed frozen out, other was injured.. a lot of changes in midfield... away at Liverpool.

Started well but we expected to create nothing and get bossed didn't we?

Yeah guess so, no huge complaints. Frustrating though as has enough here to get a result.

The sooner KDH realises he’s not James Maddison the better for his career. He’s been a ****ing liability since he came on tonight. Wants too many touches and thinks it’s all about him recently.
