I think looking at how he breezes past players he would be better suited going through the middle with Mavididi and Fatawu supporting from the left and right.

We might just see this against Charlton

get clattered in this league

The silence from our owner is deafening.

Its nothing new though. Not sure I've ever heard him speak. He could sound like Joe Pasquale for all I know.

You want your attacking threats closer to the goal not further away.

That was one factor that resulted in an insignificant statistical return for ol’ Bilal, because he’d end up picking up the ball inside our half and be expected to miracle something for us from there.

Well if there’s one thing about playing two DMs, you need to be a Bit more creative. If we still are going to play two wide men, someone in the middle who can run at the defense  will have acres of space. Theoretically.

I don't think anyone was even thinking it let alone agreeing with it.

You're talking about playing a 16 year old in a position he's unfamiliar with in a league where they kick lumps out of you.

He describes himself as a 10 to be fair.

I’ve heard him speak. Weirdly if you closed your eyes you’d think you were listening to Pam Ayres.

Yes but it’s an ambition and it’s a huge leap of faith to play him there.

Doesn't engage whatsoever

So if BEK leaves that is around £60m raised and not a single link to incomings. Fans deserve to know exactly what the situation is at the club. Pretty much no chance of promotion with no proven striker or midfield playmaker.

Problem with setting the true picture is that clubs will know how ****ed we are and low ball us even more, and then worse still, have no chance of getting any players in. Can't do much but wait it out and get to a position of compliance for PSR or at least a position where they see us getting back in order.

Interested by “don’t really need him”

Were only a fatawu injury away from no one decent on that side again lol

Would love him here, had a really productive spell with Sheff U last season. Would have played more if wilder didn’t have his favourites I think.

Well the club would say we don’t need him because of mcateer. Or at least I’d imagine they would

But hard to argue he wouldn’t be an upgrade.  I just really hope Marti is exploring if any of these wide players can play in the middle

So even before they sell Eze, Palace have his replacement already lined up, ready to go. I'm sure that we have the El Khannous replacement agreed in principle just the same.

Haven't we

Tom Lawrence is out of contract…

The way the modern game is played is all about getting your players 1 v 1 in advanced positions.  We should be making hay with fats and Monga in the regard because opposition can’t double up on both sides and keep a solid defensive structure in the middle of the pitch (assuming we are inverting one of the full backs to force overloads in the middle).

playing Monga as a ten will expose him to much less opportunity to get 1 v 1. The central areas of the pitch are much easier to double up.  Whilst he’s strong for his age, he may well struggle to cope with the physicality in that area aswell.  The wide areas are usually less physical.  I’m not dismissing it because we’ve seen how his quick feet and short turning circle enables him to get away from defenders. But at his age I think he’s better placed out wide.

Players get less protection from refs in the Champ. Saw that on Saturday, when Justin was moved to the left and was more effective helping Monga, then he got smashed by one of the Preston players, which put an end to the momentum we were having.

What a depressing time for our club.

Average squad at best if he leaves.

Only Fatawu and Monga to really be excited about and even then one of them might leave before deadline day.

Shame we can't get rid of players we don't like/want/need but the best assets are the club get picked off.

The price of relegation will be felt for several years to come.

Can't keep players that don't want to stay.

To be perfectly honest to get 30 million for him seems a bit mental , I don't really think he's done anything to warrant such a price 🤔

Yes he has potential but ...

Pretty sure we have that Portuguese lad from Benfica lined up. Too much coincidence that rumours started coming out about him and him following us around the time El Khannouss to Crystal Palace started picking up steam.

I am convinced Rudkin has some 35 year old player with Premier League experience coming in on a 5 year deal, so not to worry. Next one out Abdul.

Dufkin master plan all in place👌
