I’m not really bothered about his pace since we have Monga, Mavididi and Fatawu with pace to burn who’ll be regularly starting it’s whether he can find space in the box and finish I’m concerned with.

Philadelphia Union podcast have kindly done a lowdown on Carranza for us.

 

Interestingly seems to deliver in big games for them, also got the goal that took Feyenoord through at San Siro.

 

His main strengths are pressing and linking play. Decent in the air and a good finisher, but better in a front two than a lone striker though. Which is seemingly been the same issue we've had with almost every striker we've signed in the last decade and then proceed never to play with a front two.

I think it will help with us having wingers that attack quite deep, I believe Marti will get the best out of him seems like one his signings.

I'm concerned that he's yet another who is better in a front two though.
