It's been quite telling he's not come on now for a number of games and is probably only on the bench because of injuries. Ayew can't play 90 minutes every game and Cifuentes has not given Evans a single minute yet so it's surprising that Carranza has been allowed to go further cold when we might now need him.

This all points to him going back in January, probably straight to the MLS as its not really worked out for him in Europe.

I think it best for both parties.

CF part of the sqaud is in for a massive overhaul with currently only Evans contracted past the summer.

Warning signs were there when nobody seemed to know how tall he was!

Scouting department: "Great news, we've found the perfect striker that matches the profile you were looking for boss"

Marti: "Great, is it the tall powerful target man or the short low center of gravity fox in the box?"
Scouting department: "Yes"

Not sure that we can send him back. Could be another Edouard situation. We never learn.

Like the Edouard situation in what way?  That we don't want him?

Aside from that it's nowhere near as bad as the Ed fiasco.  Carranza hasn't played for Feyenoord this season so he's not locked out of a loan move to a different European club like Edouard was, and we're also not limited to 2 loans like we were last season so Carranzas presence isn't blocking us from bringing in another loanee, finances aside.

Would be great if he surprised us all and scored a few goals in the next few games, but he'll probably not see grass.

We essentially signed this bag of shit to use him in some low budget Christmas campaign photoshoots.

And now we’ll be replacing him with a bloke who couldn’t walk at the start of the year.  That’s how shit Carranza is.

Looking forward to when the January window closes and he is still here because Rudkin forgot to include a terminate loan clause again

Fully what I expect to happen.

Ok Ayew and Daka now have 4 now.

Ayew has scored a goal in each of his last two matches and should have in the last three if it wasn't wrongfully disallowed for offside

It was quite obvious from his goalscoring record that was he was going to be a terrible signing.

Well it was obvious to me and obvious to you but not so obvious to those absolutely buzzing on here and giving that window 8 out of tens.

Apparently, you can't use a players career to date as any kind of guide to how he might be expected to perform until he has 'kicked a ball for us' as there is every chance that he might  metamorphose from being the most mediocre of journeyman into Marco Van Basten, just by pulling on a blue shirt.

Get him gone in January with a view of getting another loan in.

Hopefully it wasn't a year long contract. I don't trust Rudkin not to f**k it up.

Someone on here mentioned his underwhelming YouTube 'highlights' at the time of signature and took a look myself. It was patently obvious he was not up to it, after just a cursory glance at that video

When was the last time we had a decent striker other than Vardy?

Okazaki, Ulloa, Nugent?

So a decade ago....

I wonder if he’s stuck on 9 games because there’s a clause that if he plays 10 it triggers his loan meaning we have to keep till the end of the season. Either that or he’s doggo. Properly just doggo

On a side note, here’s AI’s overview of JC

Julián Carranza is an Argentine striker on loan at Leicester City (LCFC)from Feyenoord for the 2025/26 season, known for his pressing, link-up play, and goal-scoring ability in the EFL Championship, making significant appearances and contributing to the team's attacking efforts with runs in behind and outside the box shots

Me when I think about AI: Humanity is doomed and we're running blindly into a Terminator style apocalypse.

Me when I use AI: :huh:lol:S

Well it was a good window. We managed to get rid of a lot of players and bring in some useful loanees.

Best window we've had in years really.
