Your all entitled to your opinion but I’m behind Martin if you want to boo every game like clowns feel free

I’m interested to know what makes you think Russell 4 wins in 34 Martin will turn it around?

I don't think the national media would care too much over a third tier club I'm afraid.

I think it would more come down to solidarity with their colleagues. The demise of our club has been, and still is, very newsworthy. The club refusing to engage with any media would cause a huge storm.

There has to be a point where he himself needs to know that his record has to improve pretty quickly to salvage his managerial career.

No current manager of a football club should be saying "you've been shit for ages now". I expect that from my Forest mates, not the man in charge of my football club.

Also saying "you" and not "we" is telling...

Yeah, I didnt say I agree with what he said, and I dont.

Sad fact is if they do sack him we'll just end up with another version of Pepball in super slow motion manager

If Top is around long enough Rooney is inevitable at some point.  This is why I am not very active in this thread, as the real problem is the owner.  Until he goes we will keep having the same type of manager and emphasis on the same style of play.

I don't understand why this bothers you so much? I'm not a Russ fan, but he's distance himself from the crap years to before he arrived. He wasn't here for those relegations. If he referred to you in terms of since he's been here then yes, that is a worry.

He's referring to the past which he wasn't apart of and separating the past with the present. I have no issue with that. It doesn't mean that I agree that we're not still utterly awful, but I just don't get the anger so much in it. He's not wrong either.

Personally I like a manager that wins football matches

Our fans criticized Enzo when he was winning so let's not pretend that RM winning football matches would change anything.

I can picture what you look like just from that post.

I won't say any more to avoid a ban.

Martin summed it up at a post match interview after the last defeat:

We keep making mistakes at the back which doesn't help.

We struggle to put the ball in the net with the amount of chances we make.

However we had ,(70%) of possession in middle of the pitch, which means we are improving every week.

Bullshot.

Maresca was mostly criticized towards the end of the 2023-24 campaign, when he was found out and we were limping over the finishing line.

Not sure if this has been said on here but someone should remind Martin that he has also been shit since Maresca left us.

In fact his record is probably somehow worse than a team that suffered back to back relegations which is pretty damning.

Exactly that - I think he knows it now and if he didn’t then he definitely knows now there is no patience here at all after the last few years - it’s win or bust for him over next 8-10 weeks - he will get until Xmas to show he can find a way to get the team winning games

consistently

I’m actually on your side of the fence and so are plenty of others - just don’t shout as loud as some of the utter negative nonsense we currently get on here - people have forgotten how to support a team - we talked about draining the swamp with getting the players out - unfortunately that same swamp of negativity still exists in regards to how a lot of fans feel about the club and Martin in particular- I’m not a happy clapper or top lover - you don’t have to be one or the other - I’m firmly in the middle ground of wanting Martin and the team to be successful on the pitch - it’s ok to have that opinion

Not in defence of Russell but as I confuse easily is this the state of play currently;

We have the best squad in the league on paper.

We never learn buying in old favourites of the manager looking for a last pay day, we have a terrible squad.

Play the kids they can’t be any worse.

Schooled by Stevenage post match comments Braybrooke not as good as first assumed.

That roughly where we are?

I said I'd give him 10 games - well he's had those now. Pros - some youngster are being given game time, there are spells in games where we look very good and we do look somewhat fitter than last season. Cons - we need to score 3 goals a game to ensure we have a chance of winning. The stubborn nature to stick with the same tactics, particularly when we play teams with a low block, defenders who can't pass the ball out of defence and heads drop after conceding.

If we don't win our next two home games playing with more authority and controlling each game then I think the writing is on the wall. I'm not one who thinks keep changing the manager is a good idea, but this appointment should have never happened. We have a squad that is as good if not better than any for this league and we are languishing in mid table. With the right appointment I think we could have won this league comfortably. Results and performances need to improve dramatically as of tomorrow.

Probably a good idea because being a bit of a moron to one of our own fans because he doesn’t share the same opinion as you isn’t big or clever

See, this is where you show your ignorance. Every fan wants the team to be successful. Why is it that some just cannot understand that the 'negativity' is an expression of passion for the club? It's because people want success for the club, not because they wish for it all to crash and burn.

You can have an opinion about people being overcritical, but it's certainly not nonsense that is being argued on here - it's backed up with observations, stats and facts.

Regarding Martin's argument with the fan, the best you can say about him is that it's not a good look. Showing defiance is fine, but when you deflect and shirk responsibility - as the manager - then you are not a good leader, in any business.

It really reads like you're stubborn and unwilling to see or hear the criticism. You say you're not a happy clapper, but is your hope based on something tangible - if so, I'll happily hear you out - or is it just hope against better judgement? I understand if people get worn down by constant negativity, but not recognising the issues is not a way to deal with it either.

Are you referring to the person who was calling people who share a different opinion to him clowns?

Ah, the irony.

You keep clapping the project, im sure it will all work out.

We really have got a such weird fan base. Convinced many are under 24hr care and sneak out for the odd game or comment on here.

Read it again- ‘SOME of the utter negative nonsense’

not all of it - when it’s justified there is no argument - silly defensive errors , no bite in final third , to many passes in areas that don’t hurt the oppo - all valid and we could talk all day on it

calling him a pr’ick continuously- all the personal

stuff and abuse which there is absolutely loads of and it’s vile

that’s what I’m talking about mate - that’s not ok

constructive debate on tactics and style of play if it be positive or negative is absolutely 100% fine as we all see football differently- the rest is not ok
