There's always roadwork of one kind or another going on in Cambridge so the money's definitely being put to use here.  Feels like months since I last drove to work without crawling through temporary lights somewhere.

The roads.

What am I paying road tax for? What is my money going on?

Because it ain't the roads, all they do is cost me more money for tyres, suspension and other things that go wrong due to disgraceful road surfaces.

The amount of swerving I do to try and avoid pot holes it's a wonder I ain't crashed into someone else or been pulled over on suspicion of drunk driving.

If your car gets damaged because of the state of the road you can have a go at getting the cost of repair back from your local council.  I did a tyre in a large pothole filled with water so I didn't see it coming, neither did a load of other drivers, we all ended up with damaged tyres and suspensions.  I had a go at the county council for failing to maintain the roads in a safe condition, they tried to get rid of me by passing me around departments and then to a subcontractor but I persisted and they paid up eventually.

A shedload of drivers claiming for damage might concentrate a few minds and get some attention to this problem.

Thing is it's not one incident per se, it's an accumulation of shite roads. You could say it's simply wear and tear but when the roads are such a state it's more than wear and tear, it's a joke.

Besides i've tried complaning to councils before and it got me no-where, a few years back they 'repaired' a road (Ironically a good, new road that didn't need to much work/if any) however they did it on the cheap, stone chippings. An ambulance came screaming past pelting stone chips all over my car, paint work pelted, dents, window screen cracked, now i'm not moaning about the Ambulance, they're doing their job and on an emergency, i'm not for one second blaming them, i'm blaming the cheap, tight authorities using such a shite way of repairing roads, if they're going to do it, do it properly, but there are much worse roads about, that road didn't really need doing as i've said.

Those moral life lessons stories on Facebook which are told through a slideshow of text and photos (done for dramatic effect) with dramatic attention seeking captions like 'Everyone were surprised to see what a father gave to her daughter on her wedding day'.  This is sodding Facebook not a bleeding exhibition in a museum.  I would have preferred to read all of it in one go rather than wasting two minutes of my life on a video.

Try living in Dundee, I drive on curbs and the wrong side of the road a lot of the time, pot holes everywhere.

You can buy bags of Macadam from B&Q for about £15 which are for fixing holes in your driveway, councils will often use this to 'fix' a hole in the road.

People who comment on BBC Sport articles (named Have your say or HYS) with comments such as 'ANOTHER HYS on Man Utd???'. They really need to get a life if they are bothered about an online article having a comments section.

They seem to completely misunderstand their commenter demographic and, as such, have decided that it's appropriate to allow the public to comment on women's football. I looked when there were roughly 75 comments listed which consisted of well over half being taken away due to breaking the Code of Conduct and the rest just doing enough to remain inside the guidelines by narrowly avoiding total sexist or misogynistic remarks.

Yeah, you'd think they'd understand GIFT by now and how it applies all the more in articles about women, esp. womens sport.

Network marketing or whatever shite it is called. I can't seem to go anywhere or log onto Facebook these days with out seeing people trying to sell "weight loss coffee" or "amazing whitening toothpaste"

It's like a cult for the incredibly stupid.

I live near the end of my street and not far away there is a wall and a little ground that backs on to buildings. On the wall is a notice saying ' It is illegal to fly tip. Penalty £1000(?). Underneath the notice are old matresses and various other items.

Not sure whether to find it amusing or not. It is unsightly but the people dumping have a cheek to do it.

Finally got rid of my old mattress ....     :)

Well sometimes the ones that are dumped are in better condition than the one on my bed. Still would not swap though.

The 'cash out' function on Paddy Power. Watching the golf and decided to cash out at the exact right time to be told it's 'unavailable' at this time. Then it's too late and I've lost.

It's not just a Paddy Power problem.

I didn't realise that mate. I'm not a big gambler and only have a PP account but I felt robbed and cheated last night. But I guess that's the thing with in play betting and there's a slight coverage delay. Bloody annoying though...

Vaping... specifically, people who Vape in their cars with their windows open and look like a steam train. It looks ridiculous, you don't look "cool".

Not sure anyone Vapes because they think it looks cool. Weird thing to assume.

There are thousands of videos on youtube and facebook of people doing nothing but vaping or doing "vaping tricks", purely because they think they look cool. They definitely don't.
