Surely if personal terms have been agreed and he was allowed to leave training the day before a game to undertake a medical here, then terms would have been agreed between the clubs. Still pretty confident, unless transfers have completely changed in the last couple of years and 'tapping up' is no longer a thing.

Couldn't really be tapping up as he's not our player as we can't sign anyone until Jan 1st.

I'm excited about this one, hopefully the window lickers give him longer than half a dozen games before deciding he's shit.

I will give him a max of 8 games before editing his Wiki page to say he's a shit Sergio Hellings.

Looks like he could be a supreme powerhouse in a few years time. He's huge!

Leicester City’s move for Genk star Wilfred Ndidi is not yet complete, according to the Belgian club’s director of sport.

The Premier League champions thought they had a deal done and dusted for the Nigerian youngster who has already completed medical with a £15million fee agreed.

But the Belgian look like could be trying to throw a spanner in the works claiming the move is not yet done for the midfielder and an unnamed team are looking to hijack the deal.

Genk director of sport Dimitri De Conde revealed the side who are currently ninth in the Belgian top flight are trying to persuade Ndidi to extend his stay at the club.

He told Belgian newspaper L'Avenir: "Seeing Ndidi and Leon Bailey leave in January? It's possible, but I'm going to do everything in my power to stop it from happening.

"Our plan was to replace them next season only. And yes, for Ndidi, we're talking with Leicester, but they aren't the only club interested." he added.

How can you have a medical 2-3 weeks before you move? He could pick up an injury at any time before he moves.

Maybe it's just a pre medical, medical. Just so they know what might turn up when he has his real medical.

Michael Yokhin provides the lowdown on the Nigeria international on his way to the King Power Stadium

The video on this is very good. Easy to get caught up in skill/goals etc on videos but I liked his positioning (always goalside and shielding centre halfs) and the fact he looks to switch the play to the flanks. Will no doubt take him time to get used to the prem but looks like he has talent.

Lost me as soon as he said Papy Mendy wasn't up to the task.

1. How can we possibly know that, he's had a very serious injury and has barely played.

2. He didn't come with a reputation for ball winning as much as passing.

That's not really the point of a medical.

It's more to see if he's got any underlying issues that would mean he'd miss out on a lot of games. Hull pulled the plug on signing Charlie Austin because he's got a dodgy knee, he was perfectly fit to play that day.

We wouldn't not sign Ndidi because he's got an every day  tweaked hamstring for example.

Emotional Ndidi misses game against Zulte Waregem

Wilfred Ndidi received after a late challenge just before resting
his fifth yellow card of the season. He thus misses Wednesday's game
at Zulte Waregem. "A problem? If Ndidi may not play, we ask someone
else, "responded Peter Maes laconically.

Ndidi, which was Friday the 20th, was very emotional when he after the
game - adorned with the Nigerian flag - the Genk fans went greetings.
On Tuesday, December 27th he takes against AA Gent farewell to KRC Genk
from 1 January he moved to Leicester City.
