City 5-1 The Posh FA Cup 4 Round Post Match Thread

Recommended Posts

Comprehensive win against a poor side.

Diabate MOTM and a treat for the eyes. Can't wait to see more of him.

Gray comforting his solid place on the bench.

Iborra very disappointing.

Nacho is a great finisher.

Puel proving the FT experts wrong. AGAIN.

May it continue.

Superb debut performance from Diabate, quick, intelligent and fearless. Looks like a great bit of business so far, and am really looking forward to seeing how he gets on in the premier league.

Don't want to get too excited as we've seen debuts like that from schlupp and dodoo but Diabate looked excellent. Definitley earnt a place on the bench on Wednesday at the least. That's 4 in 2 for Iheanacho as well so a good headache as they say for Puel.

Diabate 2 goals, 1 assist on his debut. Looked brilliant and like a real honest player. Worked hard, passed to his teammates, etc.

Clinical from Nacho too. That second he scored was a top goal after a fantastic Fuchs cross.

Both look to be excellent finishers.

Diabate was fantastic. Pace, power, intelligence - the lot. Looking forward to seeing him play a proper side.

it wasn't just that, he actually knows how to put all those things together not like some other young players *cough* gray *cough*

Very surprised by Diabaté, such an unknown quantity before today's game. Two goals and one assist on his debut in the FA Cup. Can't ask for more.

Iheanacho with two lovely goals, as well. That cross by Fuchs. :appl:

Great to see us coming out of the tunnel with so much speed, precision and composure. Peterborough just couldn't handle our attackers.

On the flip side, Gray came across as very greedy today, Barnes was somewhat disappointing and Silva had a bit of a shocker in the second half, gave so many balls away.

We began half-asleep after the break and the Posh deserved their goal.

All in all, I think it was still a highly positive performance. Five goals, job done. Many players will have gotten plenty of confidence after today's match.

Onto the next round.

I think that's probably the best debut performance I've seen from a new signing, even if it was only posh.

Last player to score on his City debut was Nathan Dyer in that farcical second half against Villa that dim Tim chucked away. He was knocked out in the process.

I'll be fascinated to watch Fousseni make a full debut in the Premier League in which he won't be afforded as much time and space. Too early to say, bur our scouting team could have come up with another genuine Gallic gem here.
