It’s all cry baby bullsh1t. Get over yourself Riyad ffs.

Man City really wanted him they would have found a workable deal. Interested only after Sane’s injury.

Do the fuching math son.

Where were Barcelona? Real Madrid?  Man Utd?  Anyone other than a briefly injury weakened Man City.

They didnt want want to spend £90 million on a benchy.

Was he sulking last season, the whole team were poor.

"This is the fourth transfer window in which Leicester have said they will allow him to leave."

He signed his new contract in August 2016 so that window doesn't count.

Fairly sure that we didn't tell him he could leave this window.

That leaves two windows in 2017.

Yep I think it was widely accepted that he was sulking

full statement from Mharez side.

Nothing that we didn’t know really.

However there is some stiring by sayI got that some of his own teammates have said to get out of leicester you have to go to war ?

It's not a statement from 'Mahrez side'.

As if the punk that wrote that wasn't pre-meditating this.

Complaining as if we should be grateful that Man City, one of the richest clubs in the world, wanted to break their artificially low £57m transfer record by a few hundred thousand pounds in the same transfer window that Van Dijk gets sold for £75m to a Liverpool.

His agent is mardy because he doesn't get a huge wad of cash... That's all this is.

Poor old Mahrez. Must be horrible to earn 125k per week, have a wife who loves you, kids, outside endorsements giving extra money, play for your country.

Let's all spare a thought for poor old Mahrez....

#PrayForMahrez

If he scores we should play Justin Timberlake’s ‘Cry Me A River’ for the rest of the season for his own personal goal song. lol

Statement seems clearly fake to me, either sky making it up or they been had by a joker.

roma and man city have come in for him! Roma offering £20m when Leicester wanted £30-£35m plus he wasn't interested in joining Roma by accounts. Then man city come in when the market has completely changed and has better stats than coutinho but expects Leicester to sell him for less than van dijk! What an idiot

We never wanted 30-35 for him.

I think Mahrez is unfortunate in that there are a couple of massive transfers that have happened that have elevated his perceived value to us. Sadly for him it appears that at this point in time the very few potential potential buyers in the market do not think he is worth that much and/or do not have a need great enough to pay it.

I meant the statement made recently to the media by a so called close friend of mahrez, sorry.

The child in me would love for us to just let his contract run down whilst making the odd appearance for the u23's just to see the smirk wiped off his agents face as he tries his best to flog a nearly 30 year old depressed Algerian!

The club could, and should, punish him for refusing to go about expected duties, which would be quite correct in this instance.

He can rot on the bench for all I care, we’re not losing anything by not selling him, it’s money we never had in the first place.

If he’d offered a transfer request a couple of weeks ago he’d have got his move, but to wander off on the day of a game shows his complete lack of maturity.

That's rubbish, it's like choosing not to cash in on your £1m winning lottery ticket because it only cost you £2.

So much I could say in this topic:

1. Kante and DD left as a) had a release clause b) club met our valuation & we had a replacement lined up

2. Over 4 transfer windows there has been tentative interest from x2 clubs, Roma is hardly worth mentioning and City saw Mahrez as a temp replacement for Sane

3. We were practically promoted at the time he joined us, I wouldn’t attribute much of our promotion to Riyad

4. If Man City wanted him that much they’d meet the market valuation (in the context of VVD & Coutinho)

5. Why should Leicester part with their prized asset on the cheap & why should Man City of all clubs benefit from whatever Riyad feels he has built up in credit for loyalty

Also; Algerians on Twitter are ****ing nuts and have no clue about football whatsoever ?
