No one seems to complain when the bigger teams rest players when they have nothing to play for against smaller teams fighting against relegation. We still had 3 of our best players this season out there .. And I doubt Hughes/Pereyra would have made much difference defensive wise. Trouble was we had no-.one up front to keep the ball and put any pressure on them in defence till Deeney came in.
urban.spaceman Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 Only just seen the Spurs result - last thing I saw they were 1-0 up. ****ing brilliant day all round. One thing that made me smile was this comment on the Guardian article:
UniFox21 Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 As long as Kane is the main man at Spurs, they'll never win the league. Unless they're creative or setting Kane up, they can't succeed in that team. Look at Son, was firing goals in for fun with Kane injured, minute he's back and Son gets benched.
ScouseFox Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 sensational amount of disgusting decisions in just two games so far on MOTD.

Soar Fox Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 Watford’s away kit is more of a kit clash than their normal home strip.

Looking forward to MOTD being 3 hours long next season just so they can discuss all the VAR decisions

Exactly Pep's comments on VAR show his thoughts on clubs voting against it are quite amusing. Its introduction next year should catch this.
trabuch Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 That Man City 1st goal - I clearly don't know the rules of football. It used to be a relatively simple game. That was part of its beauty.

Newcastle had 5 off side, Sterling was off side for the Man City opener, Sissoko should of had a Red card, Pickford should have gone ? officials have had a nightmare today
surrifox Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 Presumably palace spend their entire training session practising diving in and around the area - I thought it was just zaha but the whole side do it
Stadt Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 I don’t really care about refereeing decisions, I’d rather pundits and broadcasters just didn’t talk about them. It’s tedious as ****

RowlattsFox Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 These decisions will give Liverpool fans the excuses anyway.
Tuna Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 Hilarious Wonder if he'll blame it on the weather again?
SAFC1 Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 The meltdown will be superb if Burnley get a result here.
Guest seanfox778 Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 Can’t remember ever seeing a goal scored direct from a corner before. Great finish
EastAnglianFox Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 Can see Liverpool being gifted a penalty as the ref will look to even it up. It wasn't great goalkeeping but looked a foul to me
egg_fried_rice Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 Lolerpool Mcmanaman basically in tears at the decision I mean it was definitely a foul but still great entertainment. Man City will surely do it from here won't they? You can just sense the jitters in the Anfield crowd.
