Thought I'd be okay with this news, given its inevitability, but I'm actually really gutted about it. Having a player like him set us apart from every club outside the top 6. Best first touch that I've ever seen live.

If Pep can work the same magic he has on Sterling for Mahrez they will have the player of the season on their hands.

 

Its been a pleasure watching him play for Leicester and he’s more than paid his dues no matter what he’s done. We won the Premier League in this era. It will never be done again.

 

Hopefully he comes out with some kind words about us - we had every right to be difficult as we are a business too and we can’t let ‘big clubs’ get our players cheap.

£15m too short for me. Why do we always get ripped off? Guessing Man City wouldn't budge and the club were more bothered about starting with no turbulence by not allowing him to go.

Some people moaning about the fee. Obviously I want more and think we should get more but £60m is the fourth highest fee paid by an English club, Pogba, Lukaku, Van Dyk, Mahrez. I think all our heads have been turned by silly transfer fees paid by ourselves and other clubs. We were not going to keep hold of him, no other clubs came in we didn’t have the strongest hand. We made our point in Jan sometimes you’ve just got take the offer that is there.

If Man City paid the rest, that's fine.. 

However a published figure of 75m would be better for us (showing we don't sell our players cheap) and worse for Man City (showing money can still be extracted from them).

Who knows how much the fee really is, it loses importance when it gets so high. £10m extra on top of £60m-£65m when you're in the Premier League isn't that important.

Man City are single handedly ruining Premier League football. Fiddling FFP and buying the 2 to 3 best players for each position as well as the best manager. I wish Riyad all the best but certainly not the club he’s joined.
