I honestly think his best position would be a centre mid in a 4-3-3, his tackling and work rate has improved immensely over the last few months, and despite his flaws he does have 'something' about him. Think Oxlade-Chamberlain for Liverpool sorta thing... Gray is at his best when playing instinctively, and he wouldn't get anywhere near as much time on the ball in the middle of the pitch. Just a thought... I think he's only just an upgrade on Schlupp to be honest. Both fantastic players when running at defenses, have no idea what to do when they get in a good position. Pretty much would be useless players without pace.

He looked by far the biggest threat vs Bournemouth and did very well against Liverpool too. People choose their evidence to suit their argument so much, much like with Puel. I am not even sure if Ghezzal’s half was that disappointing…. He looked ok from where I was sat… i cant help feeling that it won’t be good for his confidence being hooked at half time Having said that, Gray had a good impact coming on when he did…

Just a thought... No chance, you need control and awareness as a CM, and to be able to use both feet to a degree, not to mention he's not physical enough to play there. He needs to play right wing in my opinion, if at all (I'd bench him or sell TBH)
Marutimon Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 Can someone finally bench him for good? Would much prefer Diabate to be honest. At least the guy knows how to pass.

yorkie1999 Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 There’s times in your life when you just wished you’d kept your gob shut
Vacamion Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 The way his ankle buckled, you got to fear that's months, not weeks. I know some of you are critical of his decision making, but he's been better this season than last and is an asset. We will miss him.
blueharmie Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 Closest thing we have to mahrez.not looking good for the kid now.

lifted*fox Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 awful hope it's not as bad as it looked a win for those with no patience for the lad. sigh.
Crazy Kop Corner Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 Sincere Best wishes to Demarai . Sounds serious.
foxfanazer Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 All the best Demarai, devastated for him
les-tah Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 Poor lad. Hope his ankle ligaments are not to *fuk*ed and it’s just a minor few tears. suddenly down to limited options on the flanks, can see Harvey Barnes being recalled in jan.
lozzyblue fox Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 Really hope the injury isant as bad as it looked on tv, Best wishes Demarai for a speedy recovery x

If it’s a straight break with no ligament damage then he could be back after Xmas but likely that his season is done with the nature of the stress on the leg barnes could well be back in jan - yes
lanefox Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 His knee just buckled non contact are always the worse especially when he needed oxygen
RODNEY FERNIO Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 Didn't look good hope he makes a full recovery
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 oh no just seen what happened to Demarai, I'm not his biggest fan as a player but that's not nice to see at all and he was having his best season with us to date, awful for his progression. Get well soon lad.
M0901 Posted 25 September 2018 Posted 25 September 2018 I hope this isn’t another Matty James situation. It’ll be horrendously sad. There’s a top player in there and he’s had a very solid start to the season. Really hope it’s not too serious. Hope to see you back on the pitch soon DG?
