Morgan did not play against Huddersfield ?

'Without him against Wolves and Huddersfield.'

Babs is saying that the 2 matches in which Morgan wasn't on the pitch we still looked like conceding goals. Which is completely accurate. Morgan as usual is the scapegoat for all round weak defensive performances from numerous defenders. Ricardo has been our poorest defender by a mile so far. Evans vs Wolves was woeful and not that much better vs Huddersfield.

I want to see Soyuncu get into this team, but if Morgan is back vs Newcastle then meh. He's no worse than anyone else.

Maguire hasn't been brilliant either but I'm sure they'll all come good soon.

What we need is another Tackler in the midfield to stop the opposition further away from Goal.

We're relying too much on NDiddi and he's overworked. Is it any wonder he cant pass the Ball when he's in possession.

No he needed dropping for pretty much costing us a goal every game he plays. He needs to learn the defensive side of it pretty quickly in this league.

Interesting question - fair to assume that Ricardo paid the price for Puel wanting one fullback who would stay home with the two strikers on the pitch. If that’s not the case then perhaps he didn’t follow the managers instructions the previous week and we shouldn’t have been that open ....

I cant believe the shit im reading in this forum as of late. 5 games in and already looking behind for replacement. Sounds like the same old, sack and repeat bell-end fans, I dont wanna hear any of this 41 games b/s either. New season and style of play with new young additions, lets give the man time and not just a year, its a long term idea not a mourinho-esk mentality, we are not a big club but a mid table progressive club that aim for europe oneday. Get rid of that PL win out your ass it was a freak season. Expecting way too much right now. PATIENCE. results will come

41 games to prove all you twats wrong... no way near enough considering clear changes he has applied to the squad, which is the best way forward. He has taken us to a modern styled era of football and using our young talent unlike the previous.. managers who stuck with the old and figured out and didnt have the guts to make real change. (no offence to ranieri but we were lucky the top teams all had a bad season) I cant honestly think wed of won it otherwise in all honesty But yeah.. blame Puel for having the balls to try something new and trusting our youngsters sounds crazy right.

:crylaugh:  The irony.

He's french, he still hasn't won the Premier League, he lost games sometimes and some people are just bored when players just don't pass the ball the faster way they can in the direction to the opposite goal even if it accomplishes nothing.

Also they want better results than what the counterattack style got for 3 years but don't want possession football.
They want the legends of the club to be respected but don't want Morgan to play because he is too old and bad and are very vocal about that even if it's largely exaggerated.
They want new talented players in the squad but want to bin them as soon as they had 2 bad games and don't give them time so set up.
They want young players to build a squad for the future but play Simpson, Fuchs or Okazaki as soon as a youngster make a mistake.
Still, they want to have the same line-up weeks after weeks because otherwise it's the sign the coach has no idea what he is doing.

In other words, they want everything, they want it now and if they don't get it, it's not because football doesn't work that way, it's because Puel is bad and should be replaced with litterally anyone as soon as possible. That's what some Southampton "supporters" thought too...

That is literally this whole thread in a couple of sentences.  You are blessed with a rare talent.  Thank you.  X

I chuckled reading this, but in all seriousness it's absolutely bang on the money.

Irrespective of what the team is doing they'll always be detractors of the manager. Some would change the manager every 2/3 months if they could, absolutely barmy.

The fact is we are improving and with another test looming next week against Everton we should have every reason to believe another 3 points will be ours.
