Maddison lost few balls but i am sure he will get better

Chillwell and Gray did fine, hope they will improve and keep playing together on left wing

Ndidi was fine, but Silva missplaced so many passes.only problem is CM who can actually pass

Not sure what some people are smoking here! It's away to Manchester United, a team full of world class players.

So many positives, maddision does look a player doesn't he!? Silva and Ndidi controlled that midfield, maguire was solid, Gray and chilly partnership was great to see with some smart movement, just a shame their final ball is weak, however I think that will come with more games. Thought Nacho did well when he was on and also Gazzel looks Mahrezesque. Just need to work on that final ball. Morgan was OK, a bit unassuming really. Vardy looked sharp, shame he missed the volley but made up for it. Amartey was OK apart from the obvious moment. Overall apart from the result (obviously) I'm excited for the rest of the season.

Our issue last season was creating chances, Gray and Vardy both had great chances where they should have done better. If we play like that most weeks we’ll trouble the top 6.

One good save. The first one looked a lot better than it was. Nice height on his good side. Schmeichel’s was better

I'd agree with that.

Some people in the match thread were more embarrassing than Amartey's error. Honestly, some people on here are shockingly embarrassing.

They just need to keep up with their scapegoat-per-game quota.

How many times do Vardy score a meaningless goal back in a 2-1 defeat. Seems to happen a lot.

Apparently last year he scored a PL record 8 times in games we lost. Saw that before the game.

A place where we have only won once in the premier league! And let’s be honest we dominated at times! We are still missing finishing but it’s looking promising!

Couple of games in and Vardy would have hit the back of the net rather then sky it.

Good performance, we gave away a silly penalty and Shaw's goal was lucky.. he miss-kicked it and just got there. It will take time for the team to gel but there were plenty of positives from the game. The fact we've moved to a more possession based approach was a symptom of success. Teams got wise to the way we played so we had to change it up.

Chillwell, Maddison and Gray were excellent in the first half and if they push on the chances will come.. Shame about the result but plenty of positives to take away.

Madison has to stay on the pitch, I understood him going off. On a yellow 30 minutes to go at Old Trafford, you know the ref wouldn't hesitate to hand out the second yellow.

Amartey is not a starter, he has that caught in the headlights look far too often.

I love Wes but he's not up to the passing game.

Iborra should be ahead of Silva.

We can't give a top six side a goal start and expect to get anything.

Ricardo looked decent got caught out by Shaw's mishit pass.

David Moyes believes United deserved to win! what do these people watch

Sacked 4 times in 4 years tells you all you need to know about Moyes.

We played well and on another day we'd have scored a few.  But I'm now listening to Sky tell us all about how it was a deserved victory or how they were all over us. It's bloody ridiculous.

Carragher had it right in the fact that Utd never looked troubled and we never really looked like scoring. As nice as it is to see us play some pretty football, we looked a bit toothless and ultimately you don't win games just playing nice football 30 yards out. Now today that's as much a reflection of Man Utd as us - at home, under Mourinho they are always going to look solid and be tough to break down even if he wants more defenders. We'll see how we do against the lesser sides. It's encouraging to see us playing with such confidence, there's a lot of potential in this side and we can have a good season. It's a building process for us.

When did Man Utd look like scoring? How many shots did they have on target?
