Maybe Gray in there somewhere. I think we have a much better second string than Wolves so confident we'll win this. If this was a Prem game I think we would lose. Er, Gray IS in my XI!?! You’ll be right though that our second team will be much better than Wolves’. I wouldn’t however fancy our second XI’s chances against their first team. All depends on Nuno...

I'm expecting lots of changes from both sides, just hoping our B team is better than theirs. Think it's more a case of losing the plot at the wrong moment - last season we should certainly have taken Man City - that really was unforgivable . Picked a decent side against Chelsea but the tactics against them were all wrong

Farrington fox Posted 23 September 2018 Posted 23 September 2018 If Soyunco doesn’t appear in the team whether as a starter or on the bench, there must be something amiss, surely!
shailen_patel4 Posted 23 September 2018 Posted 23 September 2018 Hopefully we don’t underestimate them and get knocked out

When we lost to Man City both Mahrez and Vardy also missed! But whereas in the FA Cup game we played our strongest team against Man City we didn’t and it cost us, especially as they went on to win it.

Yh my assumption is that Wolves will also be resting players. Assume they can afford to.
RonnieTodger Posted 24 September 2018 Posted 24 September 2018 Expecting Schmeichel, Chilwell, Maguire, Maddison and Vardy to be rested. Other than that I hope goes full strength. I looked at the team Wolves played at Sheffield Wednesday in the last round and it was quite strong.
Hanan96 Posted 24 September 2018 Posted 24 September 2018 Japukovic should start. Its too long for him for stay away from the pitch. Fuchs, soyuncu, , evans, amartey should start for match fitness This will mean 3 back, so we need wingback. Unfortunately, fuchs legs are gone. Struggle as fullback, surely can't made it wingback. Iborra, silva, choudhury are need gametime with first team player. Gray should play this. The next epl is away match, albrighton is preferable. Hopefully puel will play this 433 If he wants 4231 then iborra can fill no 10 role. Good test for him for this role in epl level as madison deputy, especially against the likes of Huddersfield when we need more aerial player. They almost score in the final 10 mins through set pieces last time while we brought okazaki in instead.
Grebfromgrebland Posted 24 September 2018 Posted 24 September 2018 Think we need to go full strength against these guys otherwise we might get a pasting. Not really sure what full strength is though we have a pretty good squad. 1

What happened is he scored two on his debut against a league one side and never looked like doing anything close to what he did that day against good opposition. Needs to go out on loan. 1

Three defensive midfielders and two full backs who won't get forwards and a winger who's occasionally looked good in the u23s? Are we aiming for a draw? So many people choosing people to play again after Saturday and four days before the next match? Christ we need a new striker come Jan if we're going to play both Vardy and Ian. Who can play with Shinji up front? Shinji Marc Ghezzal Richardo Iborra Silva/Hamza Fuchs Soyuncu Evans Simpson Ward

RowlattsFox Posted 24 September 2018 Posted 24 September 2018 No reason for Vardy to rested really, he's barely played so far. Would be nice to see the Okazaki/Vardy partnership back together, but I'd prefer Iheanacho to play.

Shinji Marc Ghezzal Richardo Iborra Silva/Hamza Fuchs Soyuncu Evans Simpson Ward It's not that defensive actually. Iborra used to play no 10 at sevilla and did play there once here. Amartey could bomb forward well, I did seen that couple of times especially in last season cup games. Silva isn't that defensive, could be creator in midfield. Just because the coach often ask them to stay deeper doesn't mean they can't run forwards. Take a look at andy king for example, he's often played as dm but everyone here sure know his preferred role are more attacking midfielder.

Not sure why we need to spend 12 mill just for backup gk when we already have 1 I think it's highly unlikely we see Jakupovic playing for the first team ever again. Jakupovic couldn't even get in the team ahead of Hamer at times, so I'm not sure he was ever seen as the true backup for KS. Now Ward - who is younger and arguably better - has come in, he's gone straight above EJ and I can't see that changing. We'll be looking to give Ward minutes in the cups, unless we decide to keep KS in goal. Jakupovic wasn't all that impressive when he had his chances and it's not worked out for him here as a result. He'll be off by the end of the season.

Ward is younger but not like 20 years old with lot of potential. 12 mill Its too much. Last year we got iborra with that money
