Hamza

Hamza was good when he came on but not as wveryone is making out! We massively lacked that intense press off the ball ndidi and hamza do! Looking forward to him hopefully getting 4/5 starts in the role as he could be very good! England? He’s a chance now he’s hopefully going to be a regular starter!

Very effective is our Hamza, and particularly so if the ambition is to develop a style of press like Liverpool.

Hopefully he will get a run in the side now Ndidi is injured, which means the rest of side can be as balanced as it was before the Villa cup game - where it seemed people were shifted around and a change of shape was undertaken to try and compensate for Ndidi being injured.

He would certainly be a better choice for England than the currently inept Rice or a poor Eric Dyer but unfortunately,  Southgate usually bases his team around perceived favourites, past squad members or original products of the so called 'England system's, I don't think current form or talent comes into it.

Do not think he will get a chance yet. Southgate is a poor England manager, the FA like a safe bet. His tactics are poor and his choice is poor, we are lucky to be where we are, we have not played a proper team yet. Hope I am wrong, but I doubt it. If England play well then evybody is happy.

The injury to Wilf has probably come at a good time for Hamza’s chances at getting into the England squad for the friendlies at the end of March.

If he plays well over the next 4-5 games and the media start hyping in up and talking about an England call up like they have already then the sheep Southgate is bound to follow.

Any 3 out of Henderson, Hamza, Grealish and Maddison would be a cracking midfield for England at the euros- can’t wait for him to start with Barkley and Winks 🙄

I agree! Rice currently most overrated player in the premier league!

Be careful what you wish for ,every Leicester player who gets picked for England has a sudden drop in form.

Utterly useless today. Missed Ndidi big time. Hamza just looked out of his depth, wasn’t getting the ball of the defenders, ended up standing next to them rather than moving into space, ended up losing confidence and just went missing. We couldn’t seem to get a grip on the game. That’s beofre talking about how he almost gave away two goals.

Mendy should Really come in to the side. If hamza plays then let it be as a box to box, not a deep lying player.

Looked so different to Wednesdays player but then again, villa had nothing going forward

lost confidence today and was nearly always looking for the easy pass .....on Wednesday he was sharper and his passing so much more crisp.  He payed well with papy at West Ham but not sure that would be accepted in a home fixture

Yeah unfortunately the academy trio really stank the place out today

Barnes and Chilwell probably need taking out of the team for a week or two. Hamza showed today that he isn’t ready to start week in week out and that’s a big concern for the next 6 weeks until Wilf is back.
