psychonaut Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 Whether I’m Puel in or out hangs on whether Tielemans continues to get picked or not.

Stevosevic Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 If we muck up these games against Palace and Brighton we really could end up lower than 12th
Blue ROI Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 That was highly impressive from Tielemans today. He's here for a few months and no more but if he makes a difference to our attacking play and set us up for someone else to replace him after then it may be all worth it. Has Danny Murphy said that he should move away from Leicester to a bigger club like Liverpool or Spurs yet?

I'm sure big teams have him on their radar for a while, but like i said in the other topic last week, he's not there yet. Not ready to be a starter in a top 5 team. He's only 21, i think he'd rather play for Leicester than sit on the bench at United or Chelsea. I don't know if he could realistically go back to Monaco, and i also doubt he would want to if he gets his groove back at Leicester. I haven't seen the match, but unless he's made major improvements the last few months (which i doubt, or Monaco wouldn't have sent him away) he'll probably also put out worse performances. He'll probably need to work on consistency. Just been listening to the radio and the guest talking about French football has been purring over the lad. Apparently their Manager has had a spat with Tielemans hence his lack of games there , they were suggesting no love lost either way. The lad is a fantastic talent and he was surprised the big boy's weren't in for him. Hopefully we can get him here permanently.

Vardinio'sCat Posted 11 February 2019 Posted 11 February 2019 That shot at the end of the first half.

I don't see every game he plays, But i've been seeing him play for over 5 years now. And while the talent is there, undoubtedly, there are still too many games where he just can't make his mark. But again, most of the games i've seen of him, were with Anderlecht and more recently the Belgan NT. I think the big boys are aware that he still has a few steps to make, first and foremost in terms of consistency. Todays game is no garantee for the next one. Just my opinion, i have no horse in this race. Just a neutral observation (i'm not an Anderlecht, Monaco or Leicester supporter). But i hope he does well, and again, i don't think a club like Leicester would be a bad move. Too good for anything close to relegation football, but without the pressure that would come with playing for Chelsea, United or City. With a good chance of being in the starting XI, and getting a lot of time. It could be a win win for both. He's still only 21 and needs to play games, not sit on a bench. I don't think there is much love lost between him and Monaco either. 1 hour ago, The Guvnor said: Just been listening to the radio and the guest talking about French football has been purring over the lad. He certainly has the potential to develop further, and a club like Leicester may very well not be his terminus, but for now, i actually think it would be a good fit.

J.Lisemore Posted 11 February 2019 Posted 11 February 2019 No coincidence that Ndidi played a blinder when not paired with Mendy. Him and Tielemens were fantastic, promising times.

ozleicester Posted 11 February 2019 Posted 11 February 2019 Good performance, but nothing (and its very early days) to suggest he is good enough for one of the big 6.... which leaves us and a few others. No need to panic, this guy needs a window to rebuild his career after Monaco let him down. My guess, we'll sign him for and then play him for a year at which time he will either leave to a big club..or settle to succeed with the most exciting young squad in the league.
sylofox Posted 11 February 2019 Posted 11 February 2019 Not fecking having this that I'm in FT. To many positive comments in here.

Dahnsouff Posted 11 February 2019 Posted 11 February 2019 This guy was quality yesterday, but more importantly; it showed that he represents exactly what is needed, i.e.; the type of player/quality.

Interesting though Puel was going to start Mendy ahead of Ndidi, which actually to me was a positive step because it finally shows us that he can drop Ndidi and can see his problems. Nonetheless Ndidi looked better with Tielemans although his positioning sense is still suspect - he ventured far too much forward and out of position some times. He was also responsible for the last goal - as a last defender, you do not jump in front to try to intercept as it is too risky. This was an error Mendy, and definitively Hamza, would not have made.

Since game 12, we are 15th in the form table. 14 games is almost half a season, going to need a significant shift in form i'd say.

Ric Flair Posted 11 February 2019 Posted 11 February 2019 He's gonna be an even better Mark Davies was for us in League One and we're gonna be left heartbroken aren't we?
Dahnsouff Posted 11 February 2019 Posted 11 February 2019 So Tielemans has said in his review of the Tottenham game We’ve got two weeks to prepare for the next game and we’ll work hard to get three points in the next game and I’m really excited to play in front of our fans. Ah bless, I feel like I want to give him a pre home game hug.....
