fazzyfox Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 So nickname.....the older generation of fans will call him "Ginger", sci-fi geeks will call him "Buck" and the rest of us will take amusement from the fact that Rodgers is another phrase for "makes love to". First run of bad results and the "R" will no doubt become a "T". Welcome to Foxes Talk Brendan, and you thought the Scots were a potty bunch!
Innovindil Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Can't believe how many people are exited by this tbh. Average manager at best.

Brendan will have the summer to mould the team he likes. Brendan will have the summer to prepare for our European adventure. We're going to end up 7th this season and get into the Europa League.

EnderbyFox Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Let me get this straight, not only are we appointing David Brent as manager but he's bringing Kolo bloody Toure with him as well? I LOVE THIS GAME
Master Fox Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Suck on that Celtic you nobs. Brendan Rodgers Blue & White Army
Bluetintedspecs Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Apparently the main reason is....he cannot bear to be separated from Benkovic
Guest Manini Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 “Well I only think you have to look at the wee boy Gray to see that the lad has tremendous character”

foxes21 Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Let’s hope he doesn’t do a Levein and sign a load of rubbish players from Scotland!

I think it's really a case of "it's not Puel anymore". We could be appointing Steve Cottrell and there'd be a section considering it an improvement (unless they want to admit they were wrong about how anyone could do better). But, I'm not expecting any positivity about him to last beyond the first 5-10 games once the relief at a change has worn off

lcfc278 Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 I've heard he is bringing 3 white envelopes with him, inside one of the envelopes is the name of a player who is going to let him down this season. (I've also heard all three say Wellens)
egg_fried_rice Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Well he can get his team playing some great football at times but comes out with some right clownish stuff. To be honest, we'll just have to enjoy the ludicrous statements he comes out with for what they are and hope his football does the real talking. Good Luck Brendan!

LOL. Perhaps, but let's be honest no one was excited when Puel was appointed. Over time I personally did respect a lot of what he was trying to do, but you just never ever got the feeling that he could be the man for us. He just didn't have the personality for it. Rodgers could turn out to be an even bigger train wreck in time, but his appointment actually makes me excited. His Swansea and Liverpool teams were great to watch! We've all seen the pinnacle of what our club can achieve in the miracle title win, but you know what turning up every week to see my team trying to play some good stuff and getting me on the edge of my seat again... yeah that would be pretty good! Even if we are "just" mid table, if we are having a go and trying to put the opponents under pressure than I am a happy camper.

Actually feels like the club have acquired a target thats fairly high up on their list
Izzy Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Well I’ll be saving my ejaculation until it’s official
Guest Manini Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Ah **** it I’m actually buzzing for this. The next 2 months have the potential to be pure comedy gold until he gets a chance to sort that ****ing squad out
Ric Flair Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Top knows what he wants, nothing but respect for the man. Rodgers is a huge coup for us, let's get behind him and deliver.
UniFox21 Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 This would be brilliant for Benkovic, who would have spent a year playing under Rodgers.
