Tielemans

You're a weird one you are FIF, do you realise football is played on grass and requires goals to win games? You cast talent aside that has end product as if it's nothing. Under Rodgers the only two players who have scored and assisted onna regular basis are Vardy and Tielemans. If you gross up Tielemans contributions over a season he'd be in double figures for goals and assists from central midfield, which for a player that doesn't take set pieces is phenomenal.

If he isn't consistent, then I'd love you to explain what contributes that bracket of player?

Also, how does he know he doesn’t want to play for us?

Domestic transfers only.

That Sky Sports update tells us nothing we don't already know. Just drumming up hits for their website/money on bets etc

Monaco's last game is on the 24th May, they won't know which division they're in next season until at least that date. Possibly even later than that if they end in 18th (quite likely) and have an additional two legged relegation playoff to play.

So basically we won't get any real news for at least another 10-17 days. Don't get too excited or worked up until then

Not necessarily. If they're keen to sell Tielmans and we agree a fee, what's stopping it happening before then?

The Premier League has announced the transfer window will open at 00:01 on Thursday May 16, where domestic deals can be confirmed, but the international window is controlled by FIFA.

The date that FIFA’s window begins is Sunday June 9, which is when transfers from abroad can be finalised.

The summer transfer window for Premier League clubs will open on 16 May 2019.

Before then, clubs are able to agree deals for the acquisition of players but, in the case of a domestic transfer, the paperwork cannot be processed until 16 May, once the window opens.

The transfer of players from another national association may take place once the FIFA Transfer Matching System (TMS) opens on 11 June.

This means that any international transfers cannot be processed until the FIFA TMS transfer window opens.

You can still agree a deal but it just can’t be registered until later - we signed Ricardo within a few days of the window last summer (he wanted it resolved before he went to the World Cup) but didn’t officially sign until July.

Because whether they want Silva or not may depend on which division they will be playing in.

Because if they get battered 5-0 in all their remaining games they may sack Jardim and the new manager may want to keep Youri.

Because it allows time for other interested clubs, some of which haven't finished their seasons yet, to put in bids and drive the price up.

Posted this in the other Tielemans thread ...    when specifically asked about wanting to stay here he gives a bit of a woolly answer ...    read into that what you will ...

"but specifically here,  I don't know."

I'd love him to stay but this isn't exactly a ringing endorsement. I think if Spurs or Utd are serious in wanting him, they'll get him. We're basically his last resort if none of the big boys come for him.

Ric, did you only read half the post?

Youri doesn't want to be at Leicester. I hope he signs but he won't.

Therefore we need to get someone of the same or better quality that is more consistent.

Don't let your love of Leicester blind you into thinking that Youri wants to be here.

Nobody of his calibre aspire to be at Leicester City because it’s Leicester City. They may decide to come and use us as a stepping stone while picking up a wedge.

Where does it say he doesn't want to be here? People close to the club have said he is open to the move, he still is owned by Monaco and is evidently being respectful in what he is saying. Read between the lines, if a move is agreed he would be happy here but until then nothing has changed.

I don't agree, except to the extent every player hopes he will be a regular in a top European side,   It's not unrealistic to expect a top 6 finish next season. Tielemans would know he have a key role in achieving that, and is already loved by fans - us! He wasn't as successul at Monaco, for whatever reason.  Could he be sure he would fit in elsewhere? - or be a Mahrez, spending most of the season on the bench?
