Leicester City are dealing with a Jamie Vardy conundrum as veteran striker returns from injury to help lead Foxes' promotion charge... with 37-year-old's future at the club in doubt amid interest in potential MLS move


For now, retirement is not on the agenda. Mail Sport understands Vardy's love for the game is as strong as ever and he plans to continue playing into his 40s.

Doubt that will happen with us. He needs to show some of that desire when he gets back on the pitch. Been a passenger in many games and we don’t need passengers, even the goat.

The way he applauded (sarcastically) the Brum fans and then the rest of the stadium when he was subbed off yesterday, looked to me like he knew that might be his last ever FA Cup game at the KP.

 

I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if he retires at the end of the season.

We don't do statues of our famous players. It's almost as if we're embarrassed to celebrate.

Still think that even though he's not at his best he is still our best striker. I would feel much more confident going into next season with Vardy as our main man than Daka or Cannon, even though i do think they are both good. Hopefully he stay at least one more year.

Not for me, the team benefits from having more movement with Daka and Cannon.

True but we were lacking in leadership and presence when we were relegated. I think he'll have his last dance next season
