It's Wolves and Man Utd results you have to worry about, not Chelsea's. Okay you might drop to 4th ultimately. Still CL after 38 games though. It gives us more options. We always feel that Utd and Wolves (especially Utd) have such an easy run of games, as Chelsea’s games look a bit trickier so it was a back up plan. Now it feels like it’s over for us. It’s literally down to us more than ever now. We won’t hold on due to other teams, we will have to get at least 3 wins now ourselves 1
Popular Post oxtonfox Posted 25 June 2020 Popular Post Posted 25 June 2020 Cmon lads, less negativity. We all feel it but we mustn’t show it. Be strong, keep believing. we will succeed. 4 1

We have got to accept now we’re not favourites and it’s gone. Ill go as far to say from here, if we were to somehow turn it around and qualify from here, it would be an incredible achievement. I’m resigned to us not doing it now. Today’s a killer. With Chelsea having City and us Brighton we needed to increase the gap..to actually lose ground is an absolute killer. Major trouble. Confused emoji. its gone? Jesus. Melt down. Log off pal 4

When will people realise the seriousness of our decline . We have made an easy situation a joke! Right, so its not "the reality" that we aren't favourites to qualify anymore. The reality is that bookies give us a 75% chance of making top 4. And we might not even need to finish 4th to get Champions League. Everyone realises we've been poor for ages but we have to hope the manager and players can rouse themselves for the last push. 2

Tielemans63 Posted 25 June 2020 Posted 25 June 2020 (edited) BT Sport have done a great job of messing up all of the post match interviews pretty spectacularly. Sound guy getting sacked tomorrow. Edited 25 June 2020 by Paddy.
Hales Posted 25 June 2020 Posted 25 June 2020 Not going to lie, it's a little stressful and nervy but let's be positive - we are 3rd still and in the fa cup still! Hopefully the lads all watched that match and are pumped for Sunday. They can do it they just need to believe and play like they know they can.

It’s just the ones that you go to work with that have never been in their lives because “it’s hard to get tickets”. They pretend they’re on the same level as a proper fan. Exactly this. Post 24/7 about the club and stuff, how they have proper fans, how Anfield has a proper atmosphere, but they've been once in 25 years and make no attempt to go, not even in the early rounds of the cups.

We won’t hold on due to other teams, we will have to get at least 3 wins now ourselves Which is how it should be, we should have to earn a top 4 place, not have it given it to us because of other teams tripping up. We were cruising to Champions League football at one point, i`m not sure whether a bit of complacency set in, with us being so far ahead of the 5th place, and with the defeats to Man City and Liverpool around christmas effectively ruling out any chance of an unlikely title challenge, or whether the injuries to Vardy and Ndidi after christmas started the rot, or maybe it has been a bit of both those factors, also the injury to Ricardo is not helping us at the moment either. At the end of the season though, if we don`t make the top 4, then we will have only ourselves to blame. 2

They’re both pretty useful though. Net spend less so but it’s still remarkable really and I hate them. Even if Coutinho went for half the money he did to build a squad that’s won the PL and CL is a triumph of brilliant coaching, I don’t know if it’s just in Britain or if it’s pervasive elsewhere but here the solution to problems is always to spend more, another defender, midfielder, winger, striker. They made some clever signings that didn’t break the bank, trusted in their manager and it’s paid off. The most encouraging thing for us is that most of their transfer success is replicable for us (on a smaller scale). Mane, Salah and Firmino were signed for about £90m and from Southampton, Roma and Hoffenheim - there’ll be similar quality players (not quite in their peaks yet) at clubs ready to make the leap. We just have to identify them Edited 25 June 2020 by Stadt 8
