FoxFossil Posted 23 September 2019 Posted 23 September 2019 Rest Tieleman, he looked below par to me, knackered. Plenty of subs who need minutes. Whats the news on Madders? Save him for Liverpool imo bring in one of the u23s for Luton and Newcastle and see if they can step up.

U23 ? we have a deeper squad than that (also taking into account that we don't have anyone in the dev squad that's pushing for first team action in that role) 1

Open to suggestions for any development players who we can begin to develop to fill Madders role? Also thinking ahead to next season when big boys with big cheques and big wages come knocking for Madders. Soyuncu approach (of planning succession) seems to have worked out, but we seem lacking in attacking central midfielders. Convert Grey to ACM?
Gerard Posted 23 September 2019 Posted 23 September 2019 We can still play a midfield three of Mendy holding and Praet and choudhury as the No8's. That's resting the three who started against Tottenham but still replacing them with three first team squad players. 1

This would be a good opportunity for him, assuming Maddison is injured & Praet likely to start alongside Youri. Brendan does like to have a creative CM option on the bench so who knows. Also what about Reghba? Wasn’t in the u23s squad, but probably just injured? 1

Definitely an Albrighton game on that basis, Praet looks the business playing high intensity and I hope and pray that Perez gets stuck in and does the Okazaki job he was signed to do. We'd be foolish not to play a few first teamers, but agree that some of our fringe players need a run out. Play Morgan for this, but I don't even see Fuchs in for Chilwell as a fringe move, because he did of course start the season for us, and did very well at that. Otherwise, with the exception of bringing in Nacho for Vardy, not really fringe players rather than our bench options in a starting role please. Wouldn't be against having an academy lad like Leshabela getting a run out from the bench, but we have enough first 18 players itching for game time to put out a strong squad for this one without going as far as to call it "second string". Ward Justin Morgan Soyuncu Fuchs Choudhury Albrighton Praet Gray Perez Iheanacho More or less what I was thinking - chance for some fringe players to get some game time and stake a claim. Would like to see Benkovic get some minutes, would it be too much of a gamble putting him in from the start alongside Wes? This formation also allows us to get a feel for Perez playing in the Maddison role. Lets face it, the chances of Madders going all season without injury/suspension would be a big ask. 1
Out Foxed Posted 23 September 2019 Posted 23 September 2019 forget about football, what's happening with the scrapping round three of the train station wars coming up
Pliskin Posted 23 September 2019 Posted 23 September 2019 I don't think we will see wholesale changes, potentially one or two, it seems Rodgers want's to go far in these competitions. ---------------------------Kasper Justin--------Evans---------Benkovic----------Fuchs ------------------------Hamza ------------------------------ --------------Praet--------------Tielemans Albrighton--------------------------------------Barnes ----------------------Kalechi----------------------------------
Ian Nacho Posted 23 September 2019 Posted 23 September 2019 I'd stick with Evans and Soyuncu at the back for sure. 1
Carl the Llama Posted 23 September 2019 Posted 23 September 2019 I'd like to see us leave Vards on the bench and stick Perez up top to hopefully bag some confidence building goals. 1

Farrington fox Posted 23 September 2019 Posted 23 September 2019 Who’s up for giving Nacho a run out? Probs start anyway. 1

VLC86 Posted 23 September 2019 Posted 23 September 2019 Looking forward to seeing Dimi G smash Doris at Number 34s prize vase with a cross and Iheanacho pressing with all the urgency of a turtle on skag.
Deeg67 Posted 23 September 2019 Posted 23 September 2019 Nuts to start either Vardy or Evans here. Gotta rotate those two at the absolute minimum. 3
