The worst thing Southampton did was gift Tielemans that chance at 1-0. If the game had stayed 1-0 for a while they could've re-grouped and worked hard yet the heads just went when Perez put in the third.

 

Going down to ten men doesn't mean you cave in. Look at how they defended at our place with ten in January- bodies on the line, rigid formation, packing the box (I know they had a lead to protect) but you make the game as tough as possible.

 

The fans who stayed kept singing and fair play for that. They were seriously let down by the players. More worringly, the players looked like they'd given up. Of course it was an extreme score but it had the look of Ranieri's final days with us.

Hahahaa I was joking, no idea what it was. Surely got to be 5-6 as a lot of those goals were piss easy

How good is it being able to sit with our feet up all weekend off the back of that as well.

Rain fell, winds swirled, and as the heavens opened over St Mary’s, Leicester blew Southampton away with a performance to make their Boss smile from above.

Sunday marks one year since the death of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and, for all the displays of remembrance this week, few will be as fitting as this 9-0 win by Brendan Rodgers’ side

 

 

I had to ask my brother, if this was true that 9 goals were scored.

It looked like a training session for much of the game but that says a lot for the way they train with a ruthlessness, a positivity, every pass improving the situation, movement to bring options, always on the front foot. Brilliant attitude, particularly between second and third goals, turning the screw even further, not letting up, at 2-0 if the ten men see out the next part of the game they might fancy regrouping and fighting for something but they couldn't come up for air.

I still can’t believe it! I’m soaked through but I’m so proud. The football was sensational. Southampton were truly woeful, big props to their fans who stayed and sang most of the second half, their players did not deserve it. That was a once in a lifetime result. Drink it in ladies and gents, this is a special team. Vichai can rest soundly tonight, that was for you boss
