Absolutely. After he came on, we switched into another (higher) gear and the team was creating chances after chances! Barnes is an integral to the way we can do that. It is a team sport football and goals is not the only thing.

Dunno, Mané, KdB are a tough competition but the golden boot is a real possibility. Would be chuffed for him either way.

General play was good but we were a bit too wasteful today. We should have had 7 or 8 and that's no exaggeration.

 

Hopefully Rodgers hammers that point home that we need to be more clinical.

 

We may not catch Liverpool but we absolutely should be winning a cup this season.

Sometimes he can be a bell end, but to give some credit to him where it's due, Souness was at one point legitimately in the conversation for best midfielder in World Football in a time period where people like Zico, Socrates and Boniek played the game. He had the all round game and was a true leader. When he says that we have the best midfield in the division and talks so positively about Ndidi, Tielemans and Maddison, that is a very big compliment to our side. And the scary thing is they are all 23 or under. Keep those three together and you are talking Xavi / Busquest / Iniesta or Seedorf / Pirlo / Gattuso levels of incredible central midfield partnerships. I genuinely believe that.

Just a few points about the massacre at Villa Park. This is THE best team we have ever had, there is quality all over the pitch. This is the best football I have seen from LCFC in the 43 years I have been following them. They are simply wonderful to watch. They have also equalled the clubs longest ever winning run of ten games, just outstanding. On Villa, I thought they were OK but their antics were a disgrace just as was the referee. He constantly did nothing abut the Villa players assaulting the mighty blue knights but was willing to book any of ours for looking in the wrong way. 

 

Finally we looked far better once the diamond was scrapped and we reverted to our normal formation. 

 

Oh I forgot We are staying up.

Clearly has talent, but **** me he whines. He falls over after everything and spends more time crying than anything else. Needs a slap to focus on football and not drama acting

Not the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Souness. Dirty, fouling cnut is more apt. Secondarily, he was a great player.

Amazing win again. Greilish could have had 3 yellow in the space of 5 mins but the ref obviously didn’t fancy it. 

Vardy could be on 20 goals before the new year that would be great for him
