The amazing thing is, Jamie’s on another blinding scoring spree and playing better than ever, yet.....

...he probably wouldn’t get in my top three for Leicester’s player of the year (Ricardo, Soyuncu, Ndidi)!!

Nah. Thats crap. Vardy is definitely better than those - Vardy is the player who separates us from the rest. He's hands down the best player in the league and probably in the greatest run of form and most influential player in the club's history.

If Soyunchu or someone wins our Player of the Season over Vardy like Maguire did a couple of seasons ago, just because he's new so there's added novelty, it will be another robbery.

Absolutely delighted with another handsome scoreline and best goal difference in the league.

Very impressed by the mental composure and maturity we displayed under some very trying circumstances as much as the ability to bang the goals in.

To be able to withstand some terrible decisions by the ref and nasty fouls and keep it together to ultimately control the game and outcome has got to help us in the long run, if we are to be credible title challengers or even just consolidating a top 3 place.

Think we just need to take things on a game by game basis and not get carried away though. It's a tough December/Christmas period coming up!

Chill, fella. Each to their own.

That was a really competent team display and coupled to a bit of rotation too. Vardy, Ricardo and Soyu were at the top of their game today. Villa, really disappointed in their filth with dives and fouls. Old Lish ran into Ricardo probably four times before Ricardo got booked for being run into. The ref was one of the poorer performances on the field today though to be fair a lot of the Villa players looked really poor to.

It'll be interesting and defining to see how things stand on 27th December after back to back games against Citeh and LuvVARapool.

A team that go into every game with the confidence that we’re going to win.

A great squad filled with exciting young players with a few old heads keeping them grounded

An unbelievable manager who has just committed himself to the next 5 years here.

Owners who love the club and who put their money where their mouth is - we have done some brilliant bits of business in recent times

New state of the art training ground on the way with plans to expand the stadium

The future’s bright. The future’s blue.

From the Villa forum..brilliant !

In general play, in the stuff that happens between the boxes, we matched them, we had plenty of the play and we created opportunities for things to happen in their box - they did the same to us - the difference tended to be that Leicester are a six foot hooded man with a straight razor in a badly lit alley and we're a four year old with a nerf gun at the wacky warehouse. They are clinical in finishing off attacks, they're quick, they're smart and they finish - they didn't misplace much in the final third and  the whole team plays to make sure the strikers can score goals. For us, we're the opposite, we're good at getting to the opposition box, but from there things break down, we overplay, we get clogged up, we don't threaten, the whole team plays to make up for our lack of threat  - for me, we matched Leicester outside of the final act of scoring goals - but it's the final act that counts and they were a class apart from us at doing it.

Irony being I don't think we've ever looked more like a team since 2015/16 lol

What a weird comment.

I genuinely had to scroll back up to the top of the page to check that I hadn't opened a general Premier League thread instead as I was 100% sure that was about another team. Wild comment.

Been said many times in this thread already but, we were massively superior. The table doesn't lie and we are easily the 2nd best team in the country. Maybe after we play Liverpool we could be the best, even though the points difference won't reflect that immediately.

Villa were out of their depth with us and they had to resort (not for the first time) to dirty spoiling tactics, diving, obvious fouls, moaning, bickering with the ref who was as weak as bucket of slops. Grealish is a petulant, unpleasant footballer despite his skill. He wants it all to go for him and when it doesn't he falls over like a twat, moans and gestures, sneakily fouls other players to wind them up. I would never want him here.

Need to be negotiating pay rises for most of the starting 11 soon. Iheanacho too, especially if he continues the way he is and Manchester City decide to try taking him back.

Luckily i think the attack is the last area man city would look to strengthen.

Ricardo deserved it to be honest. And I think if Ndidi keeps this up it will be tight between the two of them.

Cant agree with any of that really.

We spurned a lot of chances, could have had 6 or 7 & we defended much smarter and in much better defensive shape. Their only goal came from their ST coming back from offside & contesting a header, absolutely bewildered that was not ruled out by VAR... I mean how was that not interfering with play?
