kingfox Posted 26 December 2019 Posted 26 December 2019 That performance was disgusting, our most important game of the season and they deliver that, the players should be ashamed of themselves. For 60 minutes it was like playing with ten men, Harvey Barnes was atrocious, his performance deserves a minus rating. They get the penalty, then they just picked us off at will.
Md9 Posted 26 December 2019 Posted 26 December 2019 Not the best game to watch tonight but Liverpool are probably the best team in the world right now so was always going to be hard to get a result just could have made them work a bit harder. Everything seemed to stick to them tonight. Still top 4 at this stage of the season is good so hopefully we bounce back with a win on Saturday and that’s our bad patch done with. Prob should have taken vardy off at 3-0 tho as the game was gone and saved him for Saturday. Could be worse we could be arsenal 😂

justfoxes Posted 26 December 2019 Posted 26 December 2019 Hoping Wolves beat Manc city so we can finish the year in second !!

Chester Dontlie Posted 26 December 2019 Posted 26 December 2019 People can wax about Liverpool being out of this world all they want but we gave it a go maybe for 5 (five!) ****ing minutes in the second half, the rest of the game we were bent over and very patiently waited for the punishment. That's just unacceptable. It's not the 0-4 loss that makes me agitated or the (distant) perspective of falling out of the top 4-6, but the lack of character our players showed. One isolated Vardy can't be expected to fight for the whole team and carry them on his shoulders, other players have to step up and show they care. Maddison, Tielemans, Chilwell, not to mention Barnes, just imploded. It's sad and worrying there were more boys than men on our team today. No will to fight with the opponent, no grit, no balls, nothing. We only got one yellow card later in the second half, for me a glaring evidence we gave it up without much fight. Very sad indeed.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 26 December 2019 Posted 26 December 2019 Very poor performance in the last two games, two of the worst... however we still have 39 points. We won’t be playing the quality like Liverpool and man city every game either...

fuchsntf Posted 26 December 2019 Posted 26 December 2019 So we are Not where we hoped we were & would be..!! still alot to Learn.about each other.Rodgers to realise the tough Task ahead ( I believe he does) Fans to come down from that hopeful high riding cloud..Accept we have a Great bunch,But they still have far to go....
ARTY_FOX Posted 26 December 2019 Posted 26 December 2019 Same as Man city away. Not annoyed we lost but really annoyed at the way we played. Once again let them play whilst we stood and watched. It needs sorting out because we'll never give a good team a game again adopting our current 'big team' tactics.
Bezzanator89 Posted 26 December 2019 Posted 26 December 2019 Aside from around 5 minutes in the second half, we were outclassed in every department. Glad those two fixtures are out of the way so we can try to find some momentum again. West Ham will be preparing themselves for a reaction from Leicester after this awful performance.
ScouseFox Posted 26 December 2019 Posted 26 December 2019 the main issue appears to be the complete lack of learning and adapting. i said at about 5 past 7 in the pre match thread this is going to be a disaster because they have the best right back in world football and we are not playing a left winger. it’s just common sense. and that’s been twice in 5 days that has happened. they are so much better than everyone else and that’s fine. we were probably always going to lose. but come on, there was no need to literally give it to them like that.

foxfan92 Posted 26 December 2019 Posted 26 December 2019 Nice to see noone overreacting on here. We're still 2nd in the league. We've lost 2 last games against the 2 teams everyone expected to run away with the league and have kept one of them 3rd for a little while now. Even if they both pull away from us now, given where we are now, realistically our target should be champions league and maybe trying to compete with Man City for 2nd. At the start of the season if that was where we were told we might be we'd be ecstatic. We're not the finished product yet. This Liverpool team have been years in the making. Klopp made a lot of mistakes along the way and Rodgers wont always get it right either. What's important is keeping this young team together, leaning, building, evolving and becoming a team that stays in the top 4 and maybe begins to compete for the title year on year. But our number one focus needs to be the rest of the games this season starting with West Ham, and returning to winning ways. This result wont define our season. And even if we struggle against the supposedly better teams, as long as we beat the rest we'll keep finishing high in the league.

Brendan found wanting against the good teams again, shouldn't be surprised really Ha ha. Christ what an over-reaction. We don’t ‘roll over’ against these teams. We try to match them, and we’re not good enough to do that yet.

AKCJ Posted 26 December 2019 Posted 26 December 2019 Top needs to get the chequebook out and seriously splash out on some wingers. I would honestly say that our winger options are the worst in the top 10. It is seriously damaging us.
Guest Col city fan Posted 26 December 2019 Posted 26 December 2019 We are where we are in the league and that’s brilliant But I’m struggling to think of a more inept Leicester City performance for years? Don’t be fooled by the plonkers who claim that Liverpool are the best club side in the world and this was bound to happen.. blah di blah Yes they are currently the best, but look at how WE performed tonight We were clueless all over the park
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 26 December 2019 Posted 26 December 2019 Poor all the way through. Very surprised that BR didn’t change anything at HT, basically seemed to continue as we had for the first 45. I do think we need an enforcer, someone to get stuck in when teams are overrunning us, we’re a bit too nice, and try to play too much at times. We need to spin this on its head now and get back on the victory road, ain’t gonna me easy though I suspect.

Reginaldo Posted 26 December 2019 Posted 26 December 2019 Sadly our best performer, by far, was ‘light show guy’...

The 5 or so minutes before the penalty showed what could have been if had some bite from minute 1. But once the penalty went in the players were done. Albrighton with his experience was a clear upgrade over Barnes. But Tielemans should have gone off at half time for Hamza and it was never done.
majaco Posted 26 December 2019 Posted 26 December 2019 They were the better team. We were still in it until the penalty. Big team decision. What more could Soyuncu do to get his hand out of the way ? His hand was only in an unnatural position because he was trying to get it out of the way.
Lad1966 Posted 26 December 2019 Posted 26 December 2019 We’ve played Liverpool both and away and most of the last seasons top six away from home. Yes we’ve been poor in the last two matches, but we are still second, probably third after this round of matches. I always felt the 1st half of the season was harder then the second half. Onwards and upwards and let’s behind the boys🏆🏆🏆
