All this home isolating and recovery is definitely fudging the figures though. I am actually in support of the government for this approach.

It does seem to be at odds with ramping up the testing capacity to 10k a day, as that might cause undue panic and alarm when the true infection rate comes apparent.

 

Maybe then, then government are hoping it will dilute the death rate?

Yes i did see it. How do you qualify the statement of  if you have a cough and high temperature you should now self isolate being anything different from what people would be doing in the first place. What he's saying is that people weren't self isolating, and therefore spreading the virus, so how is that containing it?

It's not. Sir Patrick Vallance stated that they just want to delay the amount of people needed ICU's. What we can learn from Italy is that the main problem isn't people catching it, it's the sheer numbers needing ICU's all in one go, thats the only thing the government are concerned about.

I'm not sure this is quite correct or maybe I'm misunderstanding what you are saying. The chief medical officer said last week, I think, that most people at that time with cold like symptoms would be more than likely to be suffering from a typical winter seasonal infection. However, as the year progresses these infections gradually and steadily reduce in number. This is proven from many years of evidence. But we are now reaching the stage where it is becoming more likely that those infected with cold like symptoms will be suffering from the new corona virus.

As a rule people do not self isolate when suffering from the common cold as there is widespread immunity in the population.

UK advises 'against all but essential travel' to parts of Spain

The UK Foreign Office has updated its advice for people planning trips to parts of Spain.

It says it is "advising against all but essential travel" to five areas:the regions of Madrid, La Rioja, and the municipalities of La Bastida, Vitoria and Miranda de Ebro.

"Airlines are continuing to run flights as normal to and from these areas,” the new advice adds.

It comes after Spain reported 36 deaths in the past 24 hours – and the number of cases is rising fast, especially in Madrid, with almost 2,000 people infected.

Meanwhile, four towns have been quarantined in the Catalonia region of north-eastern Spain under government order in an attempt to halt the spread of coronavirus.

Now it seems,various Local authorities and govts,und Companies are slowly ,bringing in  Major decisions to protect and support their populus,und employees..!!

Are the populus this year of unknown Corona turmoil,prepared to sacrifice,their gained overtime hours,und some of their holidays,without complaining....!!???

 

To look After their children,and prepared,to travel less in their free-time..Just taking Local und Nature walks,with friends or just their own children...
