Very happy about this. I can now use the one on Victoria Park legally .  No more getting up at 5:30 am to beat the sun rise. I've done pretty well obeying the laws but will admit I've have broken this one.

I noticed that someone kept ripping the striped "keep off" tape off the equipment. Was that you? :D

I've no intention of getting up at 5.30 and didn't fancy risking a £200 fine by using it during daylight.

It did seem stupid, though, that the kids' playground next door was open and the park was full of fat, selfish joggers huffing and puffing in your face as you walked along the path!

Bit of an open day on vaccines in Leicester at the mo ...  not surprising when we had to bin over 2000 out of date doses last week ...

just hope the EU don’t sit on all theirs till they are out of date ...   ok they might have a problem with them but just pass them on to someone else !!   Frustrating !

They’ve been sitting on  fruit and butter mountains to keep the prices competitive for years, so why would they change now.

Haha no. In fact back in January when it first got ripped I feared the council would put the hoarding back up, but thankfully they never did.

I had mine with ,very few questions, based on the fact that I’m always having to help my elderly mum out.

Starting to feel mega ropey.

Absolutely dreading the day I have to return to the office. Would happily never spend another day there.

I enjoy working from home but equally I need to get out of the house and have some change. Being at home everyday is driving me crazy.

Put a formal request in to your boss to work part at home part in the office.  If you have been working successfully from home, this should be considered at least.

I think that many workplaces have already decided to allow flexible working moving forwards, but I fear that many will simply want everyone back in the moment they are able to.

Had the vaccine yesterday, had a pretty rough night! :ill:

Sorry to hear that, Babs.

Younger people seem to get more side-effects, presumably due to their more vigorous immune systems.

Sickeningly, I got almost no side-effects (brief mild headache, connection unconfirmed), presumably due to being a decrepit old git.

However, experts say early signs are that the vaccine doesn't offer any less protection to old gits.

But this probably represents clear evidence that, unlike me, you are a virile young man. :D

Due to specialist facilities in the office I use for my job, I thought I'd never be able to work from home, would never be able to live away from London and envied people who could. A London commute every day makes you miserable.

When this all kicked off it forced my company into a solution which has been a game changer. We basically operate everything remotely from home.

They've said it'll never go back to the way it was and everyone is being encouraged into "flexible working". I have to admit I haven't missed the office at all, but similarly working from home all the time is starting to wear thin.

Ditto mate, I have been so ill. Basically full blown flu although hopefully over the worst of it now.

Woke up at 2am shivering, then hot, couldn't sleep, banging headache.

Thankfully feeling ok now other than being tired and a bit of a headache still.

Not nice, I'm sure it's better than Covid though.
