The referees have help and numerous replays, it shouldn't get to the stage where it needs overturning. Even having an appeal process where red cards can be overturned is ridiculous now we’ve got VAR, if they’re so confident that VAR works then there should be no reviews post match. fox_up_north Posted 27 April 2021 Share Posted 27 April 2021 Tbf, last night when they focused on Wes getting a drink, I thought the camera operator was just doing some weird stuff again. I genuinely think they fancied Roy Hodgson, the length of time they spent looking at him. 1

Popular Post StanSP Posted 27 April 2021 Popular Post Share Posted 27 April 2021 I'm glad it's overturned but there's a few points that come out of this It fvcked over West Ham during the game. Two sets of officials came to the wrong decision. The on-field referee and the VAR ref. They analysed it and checked it over several times and still came to what eventually has been determined the wrong decision. What consequences will they face? It further goes to show, beyond anything else so far this season, that referees need a better handle on the rules - VAR-impacted or not.

Sky use every dirty trick in the book, that Spurs post mortem was below the belt.

Aus Fox Posted 28 April 2021 Share Posted 28 April 2021 Does anyone know how prize money works for the end of the season? I was trying to look at the difference in money received for finishing 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th. I came across this, what I found interesting is that we made more from overseas tv money than Arsenal? Does that mean we were shown more? Or more popular? Arsenal made more on facilities fees? Who decides what gets more money? More games on tv? Better facilities? What I take from this was we were, and still are the biggest club outside the super league six right now, and the gap between us and the lower end of the super league six is closing. UniFox21 Posted 28 April 2021 Share Posted 28 April 2021 The fact Man City play the early kick off Saturday is TV scheduling at it's laughable best.

Yep, exactly the opposite of last time. I think some people forget how lucky we were with the group last time round. Then getting Sevilla in the first knockout. I worry about that effect having to play Barcelona and (potentially given their league performance) Juventus twice could have on us... we’re good but are we ready for that?

Lucky getting Saville in the fist knock out round. A team that hadn't lost a knockout tie in 5 and a half years and had won three europa leagues back to back.....

Isn’t that the joys of football? I’m sure Barnsley, sitting in a play off position in the Championship are thinking are we ready for Man City, Leicester and Chelsea every week. You want to challenge yourself against the best. Put is in the position of Donetsk this season, we draw a group with Real Madrid, Inter and Moenchengladbach (or their equivalents depending on qualifying). We’d go in, enjoy ourselves, no pressure and hopefully get a couple of results and maybe sneak through. It wasn’t that long ago we were paying Real Madrid to play a friendly against us and printing tshirts to remember the event. 8
