Nope.

Won their first game. Lost 9 of their next 10. Bottom of the league after that 9th loss. Stayed there. Didn't move up at all and finished last lol

Won as many as we lost in that season.

Next time I won't rely on my memory - Google is much more reliable !!

To be fair I think Leeds is the perfect fit for him as it didnt really work out anywhere else at the top level. Maybe he'd be ready for a move elsewhere but too early to tell.

He missed loads of chances with Leeds in the Championship but they were patient and then things fell into piece for him once he got some confidence.

Dont think we could have afforded that patience if we signed him and would have slated him before selling him to Cardiff or something.

Leeds are the prime example of how we played during our title win.

Fast, counter attacking football.

Don't let the opposition get set.

High press.

Unbelievable energy.

Overloads in key areas.i

It's just a question of how long they can keep it up for as it requires an awful lot from an individual.

Great to watch though, well done Leeds United.

A draw would've been a preferable result tonight, choosing either is like being asked if you'd prefer to be poked in the left eye or the right.

Details of PPV per club after the latest selection. At least if they're doing it they could make it more equal across the teams. Attempt to rip all fans off equally!

State of that. Not even an attempt at parity.

Is it more difficult to do it at a higher level ?  the lower number of games should compensate so I wouldn’t expect to see any drop off until feb/March based on previous seasons  - if at all ....

Leeds fan here.  In our first season under Bielsa, results did tail off in the last ten games but it wasn't due to fitness.  Running stats actually went up.  It was mental and the pressure told.  Last season, we were getting better and better before lockdown, winning our last 5.  We had already played more games by then than we will in the PL and closer together.  With more rest time, there will be zero drop off in energy levels this season, they will play in the last game the same as we played last night.

Imagine what Bielsa could do with better quality players? What he's achieving with some very average players is very impressive. Or would it be more difficult for him to get more technical, higher quality players to run themselves into the ground like this Leeds team do? A lot of their game plan seems to be based on being fitter than the opposition. As a result, they always seem to be able to get overloads all over the pitch.

Bielsa targets a certain type of individual to work with.  In Rodrigo's case, Spain's present number 9.  In Koch's case, German international and probably their best young CB.  Raphinia is also a truly outstanding talent who will start to feature more.  Other players like Costa, Cooper and Bamford are certainly not recognised top tier players.  They all share the same personal ethics and willingness to work hard and improve.  He then improves the average players to the point that - for example - Bamford outshines Spain's 9.

Certain players just wouldn't do what he wants.  Don't believe this teams lacks talent though, there is class throughout.

This makes me very jealous, would love to see us commit men forward like that.

maybe the wrong clip to use as It’s very easy to do when 3 nil up and the opposition have to blow their tactics out the window.

problem in the past as with bilbao and Marseille is his teams fall off a cliff fitness wise late in the season

will be interesting to see if that happens again or they stay the course at this level.

wolves proved you can bank in a do a number on them though, thats bielsa teams heel a low block

Couldn't disagree more, it's far harder to instill the motivation to commit that many forward in the last seconds of the game when it's already won.

Ok and is it hard to install showboating also when the game is won...?

It is very easy to commit because to a agree its not manager driven but the players on the pitch running away with the moment, take Spurs 3 nil up u think Jose would have been impressed with them bombing forward to end up 3:3?

He would have went berserk at them at FT that is no way a manager would want his players to manage a game that is a fans view of managing a game!

Leeds could have a field day with us in our present form. Our midfield isnt energetic or mobile enough to cope with the numbers they get forward.

We'd have to have a very very precise day in possession.

Errrm, you mean, just like Man.city..:)
