Neither does a fridge we sold for 80 million.

Unfortunately for us, a precedent has been set and we deal with it or walk away.

Walk?  Fuch that. We get on our bike and peddle away fast.

If we can get him for 30k we’re laughing!

And then he gets injured and is out for season?

Burnley have got to be carful though. There are certain attributes a club needs to command such a high price. Our stock has somewhat been over exaggerated thanks to our league win. So we are able to sell Maguire for £80m.... and he was also an England regular. Tarks isn’t, Burnley will not get £50m for him and I’d say it’s clear he wants to leave to take his game to the next level, so unless they’re willing to accept a more realistic price they will end up with a disgruntled player on their hands.

it's not just that, the fact we don't just let players leave has increased prices. so they want to do the same and set a precedent.

Burnley seemed determined to do to us, what we do to the "Big 6". Swings and roundabouts. Only difference we seem to have actual European aspirations, whereas mid-table mediocrity seems to be Burnley's holy grail every season.

The likes of James Tarkowski will not want to settle for that for the rest of his career if he really wants to break into the England side more regularly.

If we pay 50m for a CB, we can forget about any further perm transfers.

Hamza has the perm covered. Don't need any more.

I'll pass on him for 50 million

This

We shouldn't be going near this transfer for anything over £30mil. Fofana is a much more sensible option for us.

Covid-19 has changed things big time. There’s no doubt we accepted a reduced figure for Chilly than we could have got. So this statement only applies to last season...They are a below average sized club that generates below average income so they can reject big money but those assets will run down their contract and leave for little or no value and a club their size can’t afford to do that for long without landing themselves in a hole..

Rob tanner has just said on the radio he doesn’t think we are interested and as far as he knows we haven’t been in contact this summer

I'm fine with that

I can see a double deal for this guy and McNeil. Maybe around £50m and Burnley can fiddle the Tarkowski fee so Brentford get less from the transfer clause.

I reckon we will pay £35 million but not till deadline if there’s any truth in this whatsoever.

@UpTheLeagueFox being used by the club as a smokescreen to push through another CB signing? Fofana maybe?
