Only difference we seem to have actual European aspirations, whereas mid-table mediocrity seems to be Burnley's holy grail every season. The likes of James Tarkowski will not want to settle for that for the rest of his career if he really wants to break into the England side more regularly. There’s no doubt we accepted a reduced figure for Chilly than we could have got. So this statement only applies to last season...They are a below average sized club that generates below average income so they can reject big money but those assets will run down their contract and leave for little or no value and a club their size can’t afford to do that for long without landing themselves in a hole..
